A 125 competing against 250's just doesn't sound right for some reason or other. I do wish him luck and will be on the lookout. Should just go ahead and make it a 167cc big bore stroker and run it on rocket fuel to make things a little more even though, I won't tell.

Is the KTM125 even homologated? Or would it be a 3 year old homologated bike. Can't be over five years old though!!

1/2 the displacement, but it'll be the funnest thing to throw around wide open on that track. And, it'll sound beautiful!

Good luck...whoever will try it.

I asked Ricky on twitter and he confirmed it...

@R_Renner532: Going retro for Daytona SX

@yorKoolmedia: @R_Renner532 Railing a 125 smoker?

@R_Renner532: @yorKoolmedia yep

Then he said it'll be a Yamaha.

@R_Renner532: @yorKoolmedia I wish man, but unfortunately the only 125 that is legal for pro racing in a Yamaha. #soloMission

Cats outta the bag. Dang twitter. Yes I will be riding a Yz 125 at Daytona. Hopefully it sounds as cool as it sounds too. Will be awesome to line up on the gate for supercross on a 125!

I got $25 if you can qualify and $100 if you make the main.

In case anyone needs help with the math, that's $125 for a main event Smile

I am right behind this, and all the other two stroke fans on here should be as well. If this guy can make it to the main event, I will also put up $125, and from there hopefully we can get him to race a few more rounds. Would be epic to see. C'mon, I know there are a lot of massive two stroke fans on here, please dig deep and commit to donating some cash if we see the 125 in the night show. I know I cant wait for Daytona now !!

Yup. In fact I heard that some of the teams are looking for any extra space on their bikes that they can secure a cinder block to. Ya know, for the added stability.

I heard instead they put in lawnmower engines which make about 60% of the power, yet weigh 10 pounds more, with much more complexity. Personally, I would've just used the cinder block, instead of that cutting-edge 4-stroke technology which has been around since the 1800's. Hi-tech...no doubt....

That aside....the paypal account up so we can donate?

It will be extremely hard for him to make the night show. He will have to ride the wheels off it to make a lap before qualifying ends.
