When he finally gets shown the door, we're all going to have to celebrate.

I wish I could listen to the broadcast with just RC and Fro and somehow mute out the "left field" loser every time he chimes in with his useless comments.
if and when Ralph is gone, i'll admit, it will be weird not having an announcer fantasize about the size and suppleness of the FMOTP's balls on live television

lol @ BROtocross

Lap 14 – Ralph say’s he is “not trying to date Kevin Windham”. A brute note of insincerity is evident in his voice.

I caught that one.

We need to get the 2 British guys who do World Super Bike. I'm probably the minority here but I have always found these guys to be hilarious, but awesome at what they do.

Those guys are spectacular, they get so into it, they know what they are talking about, and the don't spend most of the race ball licking one rider (Shaheen needs a soother in the shape of JS's balls).........I like the british guys that do motoGP...my favorite clip of theirs is this:

Did nobody else notice with 2 laps to go in the 250f main, Ralph uttered the phrase "Wilson, once again easing his way into the backside of the 38 of Musquin..." ...WTF Ralph? I about spit my drink out I was laughing so hard. I always notice some of the things they say sound a lil dirty, like "He's coming hard up the inside!", but come on, this is just ridiculous! I can't be the only one who heard it!

What you're describing is a phrase that made you giggle.

We see it less often these days, but people used to have a love/hate relationship with some of Art Eckman's announcing, too.

If you really hate it that much, turn down the volume, break out your iphone and use the Voice Memos app, and do your own race commentary. I'd love to hear some of the results.
Technically it was a blunder, I think he meant to say "up to" not "into", but... I didn't mean for this to be a dig on Ralph thread, just wanted to share a giggle I had Grinning

It's not accidental. All 3 of them (Ralph/Fro/RC) use "into" in that context all the time. It's some kind of kooky Neckcar jargon. I don't get it.

Those road racing clips above are how it's done. Notice there is no asinine banter about "heart rates" or explanations of how tear-offs work during the race....just calling the race, like it should be.

RC is the Goat but I cringe every time I hear him say "Why for" and a few other well spoken phrases. " I don't know why for them guys took that line in them hoops." Every week. Emig too. Ralph does well for the regular non super fans.

Jack and Jules do some hob bobbing on Valle once and again, but they are both in love with motorcycles. They know nearly everything about all the series they do, from world supers to BSB and motogp.

I think a good announcer would be Liam Neeson, via cellphone.

"James Stewart is back in 4th place, but has a unique set of skills....."

"He will find you......and he will pass you...."

Emig: "Yea Liam I mean, ya know, the guys just fantasitic"

"Jeff, can I get you to translate this phrase for me?"

Hey Ralph, that is NOT Michael Clark Duncan. That's Tommy "Tiny" Lester foo (DeeBo)! And no, he did not star in The Green Mile.

This guy...Laughing
