Come on Mattii, you know how threads like this end up.

On the topic of Osborne. Can anyone else catch glimpses of RC's style in him? Their stance whilst braking looks awful similar. Might be nothing though

He wants to ride a 250 bike & because of the 23y rule here in the mx2 class it ends for him in 2012. But does he want to rid in the usa? I don't know for sure. He said no against previous offers that's something you wouldn't do if you wane go to the US as fast as you can!

To the guys: Zach had a great amateur career but after two bad seasons ('06 & '07) nobody had any fate in him so he went to Europe where he could work in silenc and look at him now! 4 years later! They Americans wanna have him back! Zach deserves it but almost 4 years they don't think about him and now after 2 podium they wanna have him back! They are all fan! They are saying he wanna ride in US and if they knew the offers the kid already turned down! Pff And I'm the idiotic Euro!

I think the word you're looking for is faith, not fate.

Zach told me last weekend that he really got on his program when it came to training for the races there. It showed. It's still showing.

You said he's going back to Europe because Europe is more important than the Lites title. That is, unless we're going to argue semantics. At at that point I'd say, I dont know what you "saw that wasn't true".

You're fishing. It's a horrible cast. You're a dumbass. You fuel the USA vs Euro fire with your incessant bullshit. You give all other Euro's a bad name.

Who else wouldnt mind seeing MXMatti getting clicked? Flush this thread please.

And I guess the pointing-out system is any less retarded? The system the AMA uses is much worse than Europes. At least Europe designates a premier class and treats it that way. The AMA cant decide if the 250 class is a developmental class or not. But then again, they cant decide much of anything.

The GP's made me a fan of Zach since he is the main American racing the 250 class. Hope he can figure out how to take top 3 this year in the GP's before coming back and winning everything in the US next year.

Who said we want him back? I would prefer that he stays in the GP's and wins World Championships for years to come. We need another Trampas Parker/Bobby Moore-type to root for!

In all of the interviews with Matthes, Zach's been asked why he won't continue, and he says he'd like to but the GP's are what he's contracted to do, and what his team wants him to be ready for, as much as most would like to believe it's because the GP's are more important to him, it's more because of what the team wants.

On another note, it's a bit weird that Anstie's team is happy for him to run more rounds but Osbornes isn't. I guess, Osborne has more of a chance to win the World Championship, so thats what they want him to be ready for!

Aside from contract issues......

I'm sure winning either title would be a real feather in just about any riders cap. Personally I rather be WC but each to their own.

The thing is, I would find it more weird if Zach were leading the points and then wanted to abandon the series. He's doing remarkably well. I mean I knew he was fast and expected top 10s but to go out and score podiums and adapt as well as he has - it completely caught me off guard. He's ridden his socks off and no doubt opened a few eyes within the industry.

But... he's not leading the points.

And while he could still win the title (Eli and Musquin could have a disaster) 3rd is "probably" where he'd end up. On the other hand he has a very serious chance of being WC, I'd say more so now than before. I think SX will help Zach the way it did Roczen last year. It's already made him a better rider imo.

'If' he does return to Europe as planned, his first race back here is the first British Championship round at FatCats motopark on 11th March, possibly Canada Heights on 1st April and then the Valkenswaard GP on April 9th. All of them are Sand tracks!

If he wants to start the GP season on the front foot he needs the preperation time - I expect he and the team are faced with some difficult decisions to make right now.

Zach has done real well over here it seems the Bike-it Cosworth team of Steve Dixon and him have been a really good thing, being British obviously has been a bonus with language etc, that team has a great reputation,I'm sure he would always have honored the deal,I'm looking forward to Canada Heights! It's awesome that he did some SX,even better to do as well as he did, hopefully all the last few years hard work will pay off when he goes back, not to mention this season too,a good showing in the sand would set him up well for the season

This thread could of had a much better title btw, hope it doesn't go tits up like usual..

He left because he already got signed to a REAL team for the two real SERIES next year so hell go ride a very easy 2nd rate series, take it easy to not get hurt and come back to the best series, the American series

zach's ridden great in supercross- i'm really pleased that he managed to get a couple of podiums. He was contracted to do the gp's - i would imagine that he will now be riding alot of sand to practice for the first round of the british (at armthorpe) and the first gp (at valkenswaard)

im sure zachs success in supercross has put him in the shop window for a few american teams, there was talk of steve dixon expanding the team to the US though, that would be cool (if zach went to the US under steves team still) - he's doing a good job of honouring his contract with a team thats had alot of faith in him. I expect Zach to be fighting for podiums in gps this year, but I think Herling will win the title-tonus, zach, searle and a few others should be right there aswel

Glad for Zach. Surely he will make more money in Europe than the US. Maybe he can get a 450 ride over there next year. If he's having success, he might as well stay there.

Dude, it worked exactly like it was supposed to. He made it to the big leagues. Then he struggled. He dropped down to the gp's {think Triple A baseball} to work on his game and now he's working his way back up. Face it man. For decades, the gp's were the pinnacle of mx. Not anymore. Sorry.

I think you're wrong about Zach,he struggled over there but when he came here,he wasn't a sucess,he struggled the same,he had some real tough competition but he's worked hard and we've seen his progress to a point where many over here stuck up for the guy when so many of his fellow Americans on here were putting the guy down, claiming he wasn't even top 10 material. He might have made better progress if he'd stayed in his own country,he might not, there's no way of telling, bagging on anything here is stupid, the series here can't be that bad if Zach is anything to go by here.I'm glad he didn't get hurt over there, the crashing on the tour,it would have wrecked his season, this year has been ridiculous so far,I hope it doesn't claim any more guys

For everyone downplaying the talent in the GP's, any of you remember Ryan Hughes and Mike Brown? When their rides here in the states went to shit they both make the trek across the pond with semi lackluster results. For whatever reasons, they just couldn't get it done over there. Some will say it was shitty teams and bikes but then again the same ones will say there is no talent over there either. Upon their return here to the states, I was pretty amazed at the speed they were showing. Brownie's corner speed in SX was crazy fast and super aggresive. Both also ended up in some championship battles to the end. Brown snagged one, Hughes barely missed out and possibly could have nailed one had Troy not been cancelled. Yes I said possibly. Also, Hughes was still on a 125 outdoors while the 250F's were starting to dominate.
