Anyone heard anything about the Weimer takeout? He was riding well (James was riding better at the time) and seemed like he could have podiumed before getting cleaned out. Not sure if anyone knows if he's taking it as another James Stewart "racing incident" or as a "can't wait to put you in the cheap seats at Oakland" kinda thing.

No, he's happy he was taken out while leading a race.

if he comes at James he better put him down......'cause James already said he won't be trifled with. And I beleive him.

probably, but Weimer's not much of an imposing figure.

If I were him, I would be ready to run Stewart off the track. Definitely an overly aggressive move by Stewart. Weimer doesn't seem to be the type to do that though, so I doubt he'll do anything about it.

Wasn't dirty... Rubbin is racing and his front tire just went over the top of the berm without contact.... if weimer would have got on the brakes instead of committing he would have been able to cut back under stewart.

He wasn't leading at that time.

He also said that he didn't really realize that he went down. Didn't seem to be on purpose.

Maybe Villopoto will pay back Stewart for Toronto last year and for Weimer this year. I still think we'll see some Villopoto vs Stewart fireworks before this year is over.

Overly aggressive?

Jake had a lead and then got reeled in. James just got passed and had to make that move happen.

Nothing wrong with the block pass he put on Jake. At all.

Lets see if Jake tries to get even.

Do I think it was a blatant take-out? Not really.

I wouldn't have wanted to be in Jake's position, but it wasn't the worst I've seen by a long stretch.

I don't think that was a dirty move by James......he took him high and left him no way to pass back.
That's racing.

However.....if I were Weimer, I would be looking for a spot to return the favor.
Even if only to let people know you aren't going to be pushed around.

He ran the guy off the track early in the race. Yes that's overly aggressive. Reed had a chance to do that exact same thing to Weimer twice before that, but instead made a clean pass. You'll notice when Villopoto is coming through the pack, he makes aggressive block passes by making sure he's entirely in front of the other guy, not by running them off the track. If Stewart does that on the last lap, it's racing. If Stewart does that early in the race, it's overly aggressive.

haha, well I was getting at how Weimer's never seemed to be one to get aggressive, or ride to retaliate. I feel like if he can get some sort of retribution it might help put a stam on the fact that he's stepped away from the "dark horse" and become a player for the championship this year. Plus, it'd be sweet to see someone ride stewart high in a corner. It's annoying watching Stewart who really is great on a motorcycle make such dumb mistakes that cost others a race/championship. If you wanna ride and take yourself out that's one thing but to take other people out (intentional or not) blows.

about 14 races in this season and no one will remember this pass. but i bet wiemer will remember. and if in a position to return the favor i bet he will. the kid isn't a push over.

but the crying will begin when it happens. any bets on that?

I'm not a Stewart fan at all and in my opinion anybody that thinks that was anything more than a racing incident is a cry baby pussy.

Weimer tried doing the 'ol 'Larry Ward/Matiasevich stop in front of the other rider' on Reed when he was trying to pass Jake. Stewart prolly saw that and realized that Jake couldn't keep up with them, but knew he couldn't loose Reedy either. So, he pulled the trigger. Weimer lost his front wheel plain and simple.

if it's ok on the last lap then it's ok anytime, or you're a hypocrite.
