I think we are going to need a few more races to see if it is NOT fitness/illness. Then you can start pointing your finger back to the bike again... or perhaps the tires. Or perhaps RV IS THE Kwisatz Haderach ( the next RC)

BTW... I'm a fan of his so the reality of what I just wrote is starting to sting a bit.
I am a stewart fan but the BIKE is not the problem, so no I am not hangin from his nuts like presumed above. he is simply losing his edge over his competition as he gets older and the younger guys stay in the zone...they train harder, ride more, test more, race more...better results...simple...no nut hugging...
do we really need a yamaha thread every week that bubba loses? if so, i will go ahead and start one for next week cause he ain't winnin this weekend
now what?
Let's face it, if he holeshots and leads 20 laps it ain't going to make for an interesting video!
Just thinkin!
When he gets a good start here shortly, he will most likely ride away from everyone and what then.......if he gets pressured by most likley RV and then he crashes, its not the bike, it will be the pressure. And where is this two to three seconds faster on the suzuki come from..? no way or you really believe if he was on the suzuki now, he would be 3 seconds a lap faster than RV...HA HA HA
James has struggled ever since.

Pit Row
James, in my opinion has not shown the kind of dominating speed that I am used to seeing from him, but despite that his substandard finishes so far this year have been primarily because of crashes and none of the crashes this year can be blamed on that Yamaha.
There's a thought, but could the rear shock cause either of his two crashes? It doesn't look like it. Be even RV fans could see that the 2011 KX450 beat RV and he would come in sweating. He also stated that the bike made him work harder. Then the 2012, then Ahhhh (angels singing) he was able to kick it up another knotch last year.
So maybe James is suffering from something similar with the Yamaha. Hard to say because it could all be inside his head and the only real way to fix that is to switch brands or Yamaha remake the bike. Some say the RV went faster on the 2012 not because it was better, but in his mind it was a major change. Hard to tell what goes on in the minds of these guys.
It's not the bike ! It's so obvious that it's mostly bad judgments and rider error. Stewart doesn't ride smart when he is pressured. That's the big problem for him right now.
