Go here - http://perotcharts.com/ - and click on the purple presentation link.

Good stuff. Ugly stuff. Let's try to not go all partisan right away. This disaster cuts across all parties.

"Why this web site now? Because we are running out of time.

The American people must wake up and face the reality that promises made in the past will soon bankrupt this nation. These problems are explained in an easy-to-understand chart presentation discussed further at the bottom of this page. Comments to the charts and other material described to the right are encouraged. The facts from Ross Perot

I voted for that guy. Many of my friends told me I was throwing my vote away.

Dude was willing to be the fall guy to get this country headed back to greener pastures. Guess lying in your own filth is easier than deciding to get up, clean yourself up and start a new way. This is not directed at anybody here but is towards society and the US in general.

Umm they care actually a lot. Just like you care for your own paycheck. Are you willing to take a cut?

don't fool yourself...if they gave a shit, we wouldn't be in this mess. it's simple...they have been spending far more than they are taking in...how long does it take to realize that doesn't work?

I was trying to illustrate, if they did something about it, it could be a direct effect on their financial well being. Maybe instead of the word care, I should have said they understand the balance.

What we need to do is let them know that we know .... that we know they know .... and that their J-O-B is on the line.

Just like geology .... apply heat and pressure.

I worked for him.

Then I voted for him.

Must've been a pretty good boss, eh? He's a lot more than that. He's one smart MF'er. He believes in getting things done, not arguing about how or who wins. And he believes in anyone that believes likewise, no matter what your rank, standing, W/E or where you came from. He gives equal audience to secretaries or EVPs. A humble billionaire. He still drives himself in his older Cutlass to have lunch at Dickey's BBQ on Forest (near the old EDS HQ) at least once a week. Of course, he still uses a helicopter for longer trips.

the system would never let a guy like him win...kinda like Ron Paul...yeah, he may be a little bit of a kook, but he would say things that people didn't want to hear, and you have to admire that.

I wish that were true.

Their jobs are bought through a few earmarks for the right voters. The guys that have been there know how to stay in office...and isn't by doing the right thing.

I don't claim to know the answers...but, if you think about the guvmint like any waste disposal system, eventually they get backed up with too much shit and have to be replaced.

How many of our modern programs fall into the category of too much bloat? Medicare, medicaid and social security are obviously not the same as when they started.

The only national program that gets hammered on a regular basis is the military.

I for one think that congress should be limited to two terms...move the reps to 4 year terms voted in opposite the president and the senate should be limited to two 6 year terms. That would be a start.

Something to think about with Social Security. If there are so many illegal immigrants here working under bogus Social Security Numbers, what is going to happen to that money in say 30 years?

no expert here, but nothing I think. The money is a revolving door. They use todays money to pay out todays debt.

If sometime between now and whenever, those folks become legalized and have a right to claim benefits, then there will be a need to pay them back for the work they did. If not, then it's a debt that doesn't have to be paid essentially.
