Im going out on the limb in saying this but i believe that by the time vegas rolls around if canard can stay healthy and make it to race this weekend he will be in contention for the title by the end of the series. Look at last year. Everyone out of the big 5 had a throw away round. Dungery and Stewart had a DNF, RV had a DNQ and Reed and Canard both had multiple bad rounds so if he can get on the box every week and snag some wins he is not totally out of it yet!!! Root for ICE TREY!!!
he could have raced, the dr cleared him, but it would have been with 3 or 4 days on the bike. As we all know, with collarbones, a week can make a big difference, and 6 days of riding can make a big difference when you havent rode. If he had been riding for weeks, 6 days wont mean much.
no excuse, but instead of pushing and rushing it, they took a step back, get their feet under them more, and here we go.
What I admire, as I understand it, it was kehoe that pushed him to sit at A1. To me, if thats true, thats a damn good team manager.
He was just letting the field get a head start so the competition will have some drama. The racing would be no fun if he takes the points lead at A1 and the rest of the guys are battling for 2nd place all season.
Oh, I'm sure he's back. He's had three serious injuries to recover from. Look how long it took Josh Hill and he still isn't recovered. His was more serious, but breaking a femur twice is pretty bad. He wanted to ride earlier, but he wasn't ready. If you remember, Rick Johnson tried to come back from his wrist injury too soon and ruined his career.
