I do remember it, but it's still happening every week every time they take a drink of it, so why aren't the same people callng for lawyers in this thread freaking out about that?

Like I said, if Millsaps rides the first practice with a Dunlop there wouldn't even be a thread on here about it....
So what kind of stink do you think there would be if Stewie was to take a swig out of a Monster can with a Red Bull sticker on it?

Probably more than he was for thanking RedBull at the year end SX banquet when he rode for Monster Kawi. Cool

anyone wanna bet Pirelli terminates the contract and asks for penalties back on the original contract?

i mean, i aint no smartee pants, but that is some bull shit. practice, race, don't matter.

you don't see Reed riding a KTM with red plastic during practice
Yes, I'll take that bet.
it was more of a figure of speech. i doubt they looked at it and said, "meh, who cares if he's using a competitors product"

They need to just put them all on the circa 1979 Honda Claw Action tires to even out the field. Problem solved.

Do you really believe that Xbrand oil sponsored NASCAR teams run Xbrand engine oil? (It's Mobile 1 in Xbrand containers.) If you're getting beat in practice, you do everything possible to determine the weakest link. If in fact it was the tire that made the difference, that's free R&D for Pirelli. After spending several years in kart racing, it's easy to believe that 1+ second is attainable with the right tire compound/prep on a supercross track, Remember when Tiger Woods was initially sponsored by Titleist - they produced irons excatly like his Mizuno's; expect a similar action by Pirelli at A2.

It's not the contract. Pirelli is still the best option long term. Eventually they'll figure it out and JS will have tires made exclusively for him that no one else will be able to get. That's the advantage they're looking for and will find.

Testing under "Race-Day" conditions?

Simple.

That's the BEST way.

Period.

Oh, and to the jokes about "It ain't no corner-store MX51"...well...uh...are you saying the MX51 wouldn't have worked?

Why would Glover be mad? If anything it would be great publicity for Dunlop, riders of other brands can't get there tires to work so they buy our tires to win? The only ones that should be mad should be Pirelli. Unless Dunlop was thinking Pirelli was going to reverse engineer the tire?
exactly!

Seems like the main issue is that the Pirelli engineers got a hold of a works tire and were able to anylize it. JGR is the only team running Pirelli so the engineers are stationed with JGR throughout the day. I could see why Dunlop is pissed.

Analyze it? Really? Wouldn't that be easier in a lab, rather than a truck in the pits?

There's any easy solution to the tire issue, BUY MICHELIN'S! I wouldn't put a Dunlop on my son's STRIDER

Yeah, really. That's what engineers do. Take samples, check thicknesses whatever info or advantage they can gain I'm sure they would with the main competitors product in their hand.

On the flip side, Pirelli have now had one of their riders test a competitors product under race conditions. This could be of some benefit?

Why is Pirelli the best option long term?

And be able to gain an advantage Dunlop
