It also bears mentioning he's done a bunch of Hollywood stunt work, and you've probably seen him in a movie riding something.
Matthes' podcast with Holley is awesome! A must-listen.

Jimmy was a fun guy to hang out with, he always had fun everywhere he went. Dude had a bit of game too.

Jim was a factory rider and was fast...

1980 125cc 9th
1983 250cc 10th
1984 250cc 8th
1985 250cc 6th
1986 250cc 5th
1986 500cc 8th
1987 500cc 6th

but fast like top ten fast.

I can't believe that a number of you threw out the world SX title like it meant something... come on, next Heath Voss will be mentioned like he's a monumental figure in the sport. geez

I'm sure Jim is a great guy and all, but he talks like he's about to run out of breath from the first sentence and he could drop that "as a former racer" line, it does get old.
