Some people need to be treated differently and people need to respect Champions.

Everyone wants to jump on the hate Pourcel bandwagon, and I find it even cheaper than anything Pourcel has ever done.
Wow, couldn't help but respond. Not sure that simply being a champion in one area makes a champion entitled to respect. Acknowledging their ability? Yes. Respect though is something earned by behavior and doing more than going fast. There are lots of very talented people that do great in one limited area and otherwise are absolute twits.

I am not focusing on Pourcel with this comment though he seems to be closing in on being a twit.

MXDN at Nimes 1997... Emig was a real douche. He was talking that he would kick some Belgian ass because that Husaberg from Joël Smets wasn't a dirtbike but a tractor... We all know how that ended.

Uh, what? By all accounts, Armstrong and his wife had split long before he began dating Crow.

And Englishman, wouldn't it stand to reason that if you had the means, you'd threaten action against anyone you felt was defaming you? Of course it does. It makes every bit as much sense as threatening those who might be telling the truth. Actually, it makes much more sense.

This "putting their life on the line for only x amount of dollars" is getting ridiculous. How many of us "put our lives on the line" every time we ride for fun, or pull up to the gate on a local motocross track.. and we PAY to do it.

anyone who knows anything about steroids knows that it is so much of an advantage that either everyone is using them or no one is using them when the margin of victory is as small as it is in the tour de france. so take your pick. same goes for professional bodybuilding. either they all use them, or no one does.
