And I think it's funny when he sits in trash cans of ice-water.

I like that schnizzle.

Much like JMB, I ABSOLUTELY could watch him ride all day.

Big fan of the #377.

Also admire his resolve. His battle against his medical demons. I know I'm on of few, but I dig the kid,.
I hope the kid makes it back over here. He is defiantly a different sort of guy and probably misunderstood by most. That being said he is awesome to watch and it is always great to have another guy who can race with the top guys to keep things interesting.

Christophe tried out the Geico CRF450R before deciding to make the move to the Moto Concepts yamaha team.
This was his shot to shine and demostrate he can run out front.

agreed- he has the best riding style of any rider in the modern era in my opinion, takes so many unique lines and is so smooth/ fluid on the bike its unreal!! His ride at unadilla when he was lapping WAY quicker than anyone else (2009?) the one when dungey was 2nd- was one of my favourites. Although there were many EPIC races between christope and dungey, and then again between christophe and trey the following year!! i thought the way he behaved after seperating his shoulder and losing the championship to trey (when he went over and congratulated him afterwards and asked for a championship t-shirt) would have endeered him to the US fans, but obviously not!! Be interesting to hear what some of his rivals think of him?

REALLY looking forward to seeing christophe battling for the MX1 world championship next year, hopefully he will go back to the US after that too- it would be cool to see him take a big bike title either side of the pond. In my opinion he's one of only a handful of riders in the world that can challenge the likes od dungey/RV/trey/Cairoli etc.

MX1 gps- its going to be awesome next year!!! If all the contenders stay fit then there is some serious competition in mx1 next year!!!

I wouldnt be surprised to see either pourcel, desalle or frossard take the title away from cairoli next year! And you can never count out bobby, big ken, pauliin, nagl etc for race wins.

Seb Pourcel is back for next year too!!! So another potential race winner in mx1!!! If he gets back to his best he can beat anyone on the hardpack/ slick tracks

Can remember watching him this year at the UK GP.. On a 180 turn on the far side of the track, was up a hill, 180 and back down again. The whole corner was full of loam and big deep ruts and most guys were struggling sitting down, leg out through the deep inside ruts. On the entry he swept super wide to the left and went in hot with a lot of speed, virtually scrubbing the fence posts, right on the edge of the track where there was a slither of a smooth untouched line. He blasted up there with loads of momentum, stayed on the pegs and some how kind of glided wide around the deep ruts and through the loam, all with momentum, didn't touch the throttle till he excited the corner. Couldn't be sure, but not even sure if he touched the brakes and just used gravity to slow him down. In all the chaos was just weird seeing him go through there in total silence, till he blasted cleanly out of the exit. Looked so un aggressive and precise, like watching a trials rider. He won that moto too!

this is exactly what i was talking about! He takes unorthadox lines that nobody else would even think about, and carries such good corner speed. I could watch him ride a dirtscooter all day, it amazes me!!!

I remember a david bailey quote (roughly, not exactly!) - it was just after pourcel had passed and pulled away from barcia and dungey at unadilla, 'its not always about being the fastest from point 'a' to 'b' - but from point 'a' to 'b' to 'c'- which is what pourcel does so much better than barcia etc'

I could watch Pourcel ride all day as well, he rides a bike the right way and is very smart with lines, making everything look so easy as if he isn't even trying. Loved seeing how smooth he was at the British GP after the pit lane through them ruts and up the hill... all momentum with just a little throttle and smooth as silk.

Arnuad Tonus isn't far behind in the style staks now though!

CP wants to win the MX1 World title then go to the US and win SX.

MX1 will be just awesome next year! I am interested to see if Pourcel will be at the front all season whatever the track just like Cairoli/Desalle can do. It will be especially difficult with so many riders capable of winning. You could go 1-8 on the day and be riding just as well with just as many top guys in the second moto as you where in the first. It is crazy.

Potential race winners already include, Cairoli, Desalle, Frossard, Seb Pourcel, Cri Pourcel, Paulin, Bobby,Leok, Phillipaerts, Nagl.

Then add in guys like De Dycker, Barragan, Simpson, Strijbos, Boog, Goncalves, Boissiere who can all run at the front on their day too.

Dean Ferris is also coming to race the GPs from Australia, he should have won the 2011 Aussie nationals so he is fast and he has a lot of motivation too.

That is 18 guys already....

That happens a lot more then you might think.
Max Anstie did all the Ben Townley shots for the CLS promo stuff.
Just let him ride Townley's bike with his jersey.

That's weird, because as I was looking at the photo I was thinking "Damn... that looks like Tyla under that helmet."

Maybe, but I think it's Weimer because first year (2009) Tyla was over to the US he didnt ride SX, and CP was number 1 in SX 2010 so it makes more sence. Wink

IMO the 2010 and 11 Yamaha YZ are some of the ugliest bikes ever built. I don't care how good they are I just could not feel good looking at that hideous bike in my garage.
