+40 is a full class, +30B/C is a full class. Better watch who you piss off, if it wasn't for MX Sports you wouldn't have any LL.

There is sooooo much good about Loretta Lynn's, that I shouldn't complain , but yeah, the classes need a TOTAL revamping.

MX SPORTS has failed to adjust the class structure with the changing demographic that is AMERICAN AMATEUR

Motocross. For instance, women make up approximately 1 or 2 percent of total mx competitiors but we have three (3)

classes at Loretta's for 'em ? Insane ! Screwing over the MASTERS (45+ and 50 +) is something that we should all be

ashamed of. 1. Be rid of the C classes ( I think we all agree on that one) at LL's. 2. One PRO exhibition class for any

pro under 40. 3. - 25A, 25 B, 30A, 30 B, 35 , 40, 45, 50 and 55 + should all be complete classes. 4. Less than 150cc 2 smoke

and over 200cc two-smoke should be added, too.5. Many of the youth classes need adjusted, accordingly......

Ok so you should take away the C class which gives a young kid the chance to make it to lorettas and better himself in the eyes of the industries best, But we should have 40 and 50 year old guys who have had there chance when they were young riding WOW.

Ok I'm gonna defend the old guys for a second. The +30A class should be brought back. Also there are alot of guys that have a midlife crises or something and just start riding in there 40's and 50's. They didn t get the chance to race at a younger age because they were helping there kids try and make it big. Also I think the title to the thread is BS. Just appreciate that we have Lorretta Lynns and MX Sports around.

Yes, I'm saying that there shouldn't be a C class at Lorettas . I think you'd find that most feel that way.

Having said that, MXSPORTS takes a lot of heat and probably doesn't get enough props for putting on the coolest,

well-executed week-long festival of mx known to man.

Just saying the classes need more than tweaked, a total top-to-bottom re-hash is in order, taking into account

the current and future scenario(s) of American motocross.

C riders are likely the bread and butter of the whole industry.

Would daddy splurge as much on the sport next year if he knew junior wouldn't even qualify for Loretta's?

The point is there doesn't need to be a C class at a national championship event such as Loretta's. They can race the B class when they're ready after racing C on the local level. I've never been to Loretta's but I'm thinkin the winners of the C classes probably should be in the B class anyway ?

Most C class riders are turning lap times of the B class anymore it has turned into a cherry picker session. Any good kid or fast kid coming off of mini's skip the C class all together. They usually go to the Schoolboy class or directly to the B class. To ride C class your only suppose to of have been racing your first year. I know for a damn fact there are people in the C class that have been in there more then a year.

That's not logical, that's like saying there should be no B class, they'd be Pros anyways, it's AMATEUR Nationals, not Pros not Old Dudes, Amateurs =)

Yeah fuck the future of our sport. And I guarantee you could not beat last years winner of said " Fucking C class".
That because he (or she, it's possible), has been bucking the points advancement system so they don't ride in the "B" or "A" class that they should be in, doing so that they do not miss out on all that respective sponsor swag and parent entitlements.
That said, your right, I could not beat a C class winner, they're likely a cherry picking A or B rider.

i also agree that the C class should be gotten rid of, most of the riders should be in the b class anyways. and as far as it being the future stars of our sport, who else besides mcgrath won a c class title at LL's? most anyone who has raced a year pryor to lorettas cant ride it anyways and the schoolboy class gives those the shot and replacing the c class with 2 stroke classes would give those riders another shot as well. i also bet you could not beat those +40 and 50 year old guys, and that goes for last years c class champ!

Overall more than a race Lorettas in an experience. I think everyone should be able to race or have a chance to. I just don't understand why they need a 45 and 50 plus it's basically the same thing, your old. Time to stop trying to be the big man on campus.

The last local race I was at had to split the C class into 2 groups, there were 7 B riders and 3 A riders. Granted, locals all over cherrypick for a plastic trophy but would you cut out your bread/butter class at areas and regionals???

Most of you seem to forget what amature means while you preach to others. You would rather have more A classes then "entry" intended classes? Damn...

I fit in that old guys group and have raced LLs 12 times from 250B mod to 45+. From a business standpoint there is no way in Hell that they will do away with the C class. More C riders than us old guys for sure, but we still love to ride. In my younger day I would have been ashamed if any C rider would have beat me, but they go flying by now and I can live with it because I'm having as much fun as they are!!

Why don't they make the "c" class a true "c" not full of local "a" riders? It's amazing the amount of sandbagging.
11/30/2011 6:16pm
7 year olds race against 4 year olds at that event......and the sick thing about it is that they have 3 ...yes 3 classes the 7 year olds can race 4 year olds in.

Pw 50 class make it 5 and under

multi speed- do away with it

Stock just let 6 year olds have at it

As much as i think it's bullshit that there is a c class......i don.t beleive 9 year olds shold run with 7 year olds.

Get rid of skill classifications ......age class racin is how it should be.....the fastest 15 year old, fastest 14 year olds

6 7 8 9 10 all the way to 18.....25000 try to qualify.....it.s bullshit 12 year olds have to race 14 year olds.
