Ferry won the first moto I believe. I was at that race. RC was pushing it to catch him and almost did, but James did have the fastest time out of the two classes that day.

EVEN if he was off by a second or so it's crazy that a kid on a 125 could go that fast. Shit, no one will even race one against 250F's let alone 450's.

I remember when he was pulling people at Southwick and even Unadilla just goes to show how much corner speed he had.. Remember his very first sx ? His corner speed was amazing thats I remember saying to my wife " look at the dudes corner speed"! and laughing

I remember the on track announcers saying that Langston's famous last lap at the 05 hangtown was faster than RC's fastest, but of course the ama never got the times from that moto up so anyone could check. I find it hard to believe but GL was flying those last couple of laps.

Even if most of GL's last lap was faster, it certainly wasn't faster as measured from finish line to finish line. Smacking a haybale and then hitting Alessi made sure of that.

Very good point, they probably said it after the second to last lap, I really wish I could have seen the times from that moto someday.

And I bet you are not one of the brightest guys in Vail! Anyway, I don't think anyone could beat JS on a 125. Look what the guy did on a 125 against a SOLID 250F field his last year. Winning by over a minute at just about every moto. Won every round but 1. RC never did that. Not to mention the guy has just about every 125 record in fewer races than RC raced in the 125 class.
