Yup sounds familiar. My heart would palpitate, then race as if I just finished a moto immediately after being at a resting heart rate at dinner or watching tv. I was told it was dangerous for an "athlete" to have this as you could get into real trouble if your heart rate was very high and then had a misfire...


They went in through my arteries in my legs, cauterized the source of the problem and I have not had a problem since.

I guess I can relate to Jefro in that it's freaking crazy to walk into a doctor and then have them tell you to not drive and go immediately to a hospitalmall because.of your heart.... It's a bit different then them saying, yeah you broke your wrist, surgery tomorrow just go home and relax.

Idiots? Thats pretty fucking harsh words for a bunch of guys wishing a friend best wishes. I don't think anyone here is a doctor and not being a doctor would preclude them from giving medical advice would it not? Either way, someone DID indeed mention calling an ambulance and from all indicators Jeffro was going to wait for his friend. Now I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you on this thread so dont bother.

Jeffro I have a pretty big house in Vancouver.
10 mins up the 405 and your in North Portland.
If you need a place to stay let me know.
4 bedroom place both roomates are out so plenty of room.
I can also drive you around if needed.
I only have classes Monday and Weds.
But Flexible on those days.

I wasn't advocating anyone dispensing medical advise. Quite the opposite. I thought it prudent to get medical advise ASAP. That is why I was so adamant about calling and ambulance. If a friend of mine was experiencing the sensation Jeffro was feeling I would have told them, as a friend, "You need medical attention NOW. Call an ambulance."...........As far as the "Idiot" comments......sorry if I cut through your thin skin......I can freely call someone an idiot about something they said or did and not feel bad about it and not think the person is stupid or an idiot in other aspects. I thought wishing the guy good luck as opposed to telling him to get medical attention was an "idiot" thing to do.........Not a pissing match just my opinion.
