No Fear... quality, or not?

Love their design, but wondered how their gear holds up. Was on motocrossgiant.com and the price seems really cheap...makes me wonder how they hold up.

Thanks!

I can't speak about the new stuff but back around 5 years ago NoFear was by far my favorite gear. Great quality, comfortable, all the above. I still have a 5 year old pair I wear every now and again.

Ive never had any problem with their quality. I think it is just cheap because No Fear was close to going under this year and they released their gear so late

Cool...thanks.

I am going to pick up two sets for about $200. Great look to it.... x-mas coming early.

as far as i know and have heard there top notch quality. however i rarely find gear that the knees hold up from knee braces so i cant answer that part.

I had some sets from 2001-2002 and used them until 2008. 3-4 year of pure abuse. The spectrum had more room for the knee brace than the Elektron. The most durable gear I ever had. I bought 3 sets on specials on motocrossgiant because I love the design and the quality. I guess they bankrupt because the quality was too good and you don't have to buy new gears every 3 months (like thor stuff... big disapointement this year).

My kid has been wearing No Fear for the past 5 years and it is by far the best made gear we have used.
Lasts a long time and always comes out of the wash looking good.

I would never wear No Fear, mostly because I have a lot of fear.

Last I read, No Fear filed for bankruptcy and got bought out for a few $mil$. They're now going through major restructuring. Never owned any of their gear but the MX stuff they had looked pretty cool.

That's all done now. The MX gear is and has always been separate from the apparel side. Jeff Surwall still owns No Fear MX and is in business.

I loved mine. Bought 2 sets every year for races and used the previous years stuff for practice and was amazed at how well it held up. Much better quality then a lot of stuff out now and IMO the most comfortable too.

I bought a discount set of No Fear gear in 2003 or so, and its all I've owned since then.
Its the best stuff I've owned in my 30+ years riding/racing, and I wrote Jeff a couple years ago to tell him.
He took the time and wrote back to me as well.

As far as the gear, as I've stated I love it all, but I normally end up with the Spectrum and Rogue lines just because of the way it fits. As someone else already mentioned, the Electron tends to be a little tighter in cut (at least for me).
The first pair of Rogue pants I bought completely amazed me because I couldn't believe the quality of pants that i was getting for the price.

I'm happy to hear that Jeff and the MX side of No Fear are on the upswing of things and wish them the best!

I'm looking forward to seeing some new stuff from them, but in the meantime, I might go buy a set or two of the discount gear for myself.
I was looking at it yesterday and about to bust a move, but now that I've talked them up I better grab them while I still can!
