Anytime an Alessi thread is posted, it is always entertaining. This thread gets two thumbs up from me.

Jeff and Mike have been in Moto college their whole lives with Tony as the teacher and as far as I'm concerned when you are making good grades why change teachers. Dang man why do you have problems with people you don't even know? Cut them some slack and be glad the Alessi's are still in it, tired of this bash the Alessi's crap.

I'm a fan because Mike keeps coming back, dudes a bad ass so he gets my respect. I'm a fan of Tony because after listening to all the bullshit on here, I met him and he is just the opposite, he even joked on himself he signed my believe the hype shirt, "crazy mini dad". The last Moto celeb to treat me as nice was the Jammer in 1977, I respect Jeff for coming in here and posting his honest feelings and keeping hard at it while usually being in Mike's shadow, I think Jeff has more speed and I hope he brings everything together. A healthy 800 has always been up front no matter what team, no matter what happens it's awesome that they are all back together. If it doesn't turn out well what do I have to apologize for ? I could care less if you apologize you are just another bandwagon asshole jumping in on the Alessi bash fest at Vital.

Oh it's doesn't by the way...

Don't believe 95% of what you hear about Tony. He's not nearly as stupid as most seem to thinkl and said that what you see on Inside the Outdoors is about 5% of total tape. I don't know if Tony can manage a team because the bikes and riders are such a small part of it, but I know he is smart enough to put people in place that know their job.

Imagine if in September, with DV in place at MotoConcepts and on Yamahas, that someone said that by November Mike would be racing for MotoConcepts on Suzukis and Tony would be team manager? They'd be labelled insane. I can't wait to see how this all plays out.
What about this program is confusing everybody??? Tony is NOT the team manager! He is supervising Mike and Jeff's bikes, and Genova is the TEAM Manger! There are four riders on the team, and as many mechanics, a team support staff, which all will work together put the most competitive product on the track each, and every week-end. DV CHOSE to leave, which was unfortunate, because the potential combination could have been amazing, not to mention colorful. Nevertheless, this is a team to watch, am I am confident that MCR will see great success in 2012!!

DV would have been the manager for the team, Genova became the manager, due to DV's resignation. DV was a great rider, pretty good manager, but just was not willing to try a different program. MotoConcepts had the opportunity to sign a rider of Alessi's caliber, which does not come around often, and as Genova stated in his posts, he likes the family, and knows the combination of MotoConcepts & Alessi Racing will be a force to reckon with. DV, Genova and the Alessis are ALL good people, and fans of the sport!

Welcome to Vital. Enjoy the discussions and the arguments!! ha ha!

Now c'mon and be realistic here, who in their right mind would want to stay on board with the Alessi's when at the time there were no other riders left to manage when the clan was hired? DV made the right move in leaving the Genova made mess. I hope it works out for MC, but the chances are slim. Mike has been hopping teams since he went pro because the family is so difficult to deal with, don't see why this will be any different now.

@Downanup Your facts are not correct, there was at least one other rider signed, and a few potentials to be signed and DV was in charge of finding, and presenting riders to sign. He would have been in position to manage at least three riders of his, and Genova's choosing. I grant you, the program would be unorthodox, which is the way this industry is going, just wait and watch.

Hey Spud, or maybe it's Pud? The only nerve you struck with me is the one of utter disbelief that there are people in this world who choose to fabricate their own little fantasies of what is reality to satisfy some little party they want to be invited to.

You know nothing about what contracts Mike had signed and when, or what contracts he actually had presented to him. You are an outsider who obviously wants to be on the inside.

Mikes choice to ride for MotoConcepts was his, as he is a grown married man. If you want to pass unwarranted blame for that decision on whom ever, feel free. Bottom line is you sound like the hurt school boy who got turned down by the cute girl who had better options in the long run.

Did it ever occur to you or others that Mike wanted to ride for a team where he is considered the premier rider on the team and the mental advantages that offers? Número UNO. Not a second fiddle support piece to another top rider. He has done that been there.

And yes your damn right I like the Alessi boys. They are fast, hard working, committed and winners, and per your post I guess I'm not the only one who likes them.

By the way the term public record is very easy to exhibit and prove, so please show me the evidence of your claims.

Yes this is Genova. Who else would it be?
I wonder if Mitch takes criticism of his team this personally. The team is the team. Be the Rock. Build it and they will come. You'll attract more talent with honey than vinegar.

...cuz H & H is the future; not this.

that is your view of it......
i see it diferent......genova has always been envolved in the team, and he is the one calling all the shots, so whatever anyone does in the team he is the ultimate manager anyway.......
tony will be "supervising" his kids, which is the same to say he manages his sons......
so i think what was left for DV to do was the same "supervising" but of the 2º to 3º rate 250 program.....
either way we look at it DV had to take a big step down......
so i think it is a bit biased to say DV chose to move out, i guess anyone of DVs caliber would have walked away and moved on to other things, no one likes to step down, specially someone with ambition and a name to honor........
i can understand genova and all the mcr and alessis suporters for being happy with this deal and the hope they have of it being sucessful.......i just think it is unfair to bash on DV for him not accepting to stay has a big name figure to walk the team shirt and give hype to the program......no one can ask that to a big time winner....its disrespectfull imo...!!!!!!

So rude of a team owner to come on here and call someone a pud. We are the people who supposedly buy his products. I am not going to buy anything mc ever. What a fool.

In any business, having two "masters" eventually dissolves into a combat of wills. From Mike & Jeff's persepective, they are reporting to both Tony and MCR Boss (whether MIke or a to-be-named manager). It is only a matter of time before this dual allegiance takes its toll on the organization. Tony may have his marching orders in hand today, but history has proven that eventually things will come to a boil.

It's not an "Alessi" or "MCR" issue; it's simply the nature of business taking its course.
