Solid team for what was available, interested to see what they do on Kawi's

The Ward deal seems like it will be a neat team. At least I'm guessing it is.

I wonder which of these two will be the star rider by the end of the season?

I really think Chizzy is going to be right where he left off last year, and with what I thought I read about DV934 being his riding coach, he is just going to keep progressing. He's still young and will be on what seems to be an easier bike to set up, expecting a solid year from him

That's what I'm thinking too. I didn't hear about DV coaching but if he is Chisolm will learn some good technique. The both of them have a ton of potential and it will be cool to see them on Kawi.

Going by past record Grant to get hurt and Chiz will have good results. On a good note for Grant though he will give another rider an opportunity as a fill in rider for a good team.

anyone else think that maybe there is some doubt on this team actually goingracing. It seems very late for a a team to not have any details what so ever about sponsors and such. Anyone seen a rig? bikes? riders doing testing?

Yeah pumped for Chiz this should be a good team for him and he rode Kawi's for a long time so should kind of feel like home for him. Hope he has a great season!

It;s basically the L&M squad semi crew and all just new name with JWR replacing L&M name. The only team that actually has said anything about a new sponsor is team Honda with Muscle Milk

Good to see you so positive.

Wardy himself has said he feels he can keep a guy like Grant healthy for a year by approaching his practice/training different and improve his results. I'd trust him over the motodrive team managers.

Trying to be positive thats why i said at least another rider can fill in. I think Grants best chances were on JGR or Factory Honda. How many seasons has he completed uninjured since he started? I'm saying SX and MX. Wardy was my hero and 1st rider I looked up to. I even have his jersey from way back in the day. However I don't think he can keep Grant from getting injured! I hope I am wrong.

You can say the exact same thing for Canard, Alessi, Stewart, Hahn even RV hadn't raced outdoors for 2 years prior to last year...

Yeah your right about that. Unfortunatly Hahn's hopes for a ride isn't looking too good. RV when he does complete a season he wins championships. He has finished more seasons than he hasn't.

Trey has definitely had some bad luck but again he has some championships and has proven speed over and over again. Couple more seasons where he doesn't finish seasons and his future might not be so bright.

Stewie if he stays off the ground he wins championships. He is in the same boat as Trey and RV.

Finally you have Alessi I think part of his situation is injuries as well. Also doesn't help that people are afraid to take on Tony as well.

I want to say I hope all of these guys stay healthy. i don't want to see anyone get hurt. Out of everyone you use listed as well as Grant he probably has the worst track record with staying healthy along with Hahn.

I had a classic exchange with Wardy on twitter, he was talking about being able to test drive a bitchen Ferrari and it reminded me of seeing his killer RUF 911 way back on Motorworld

ocscottie Scottie Stewart
@JeffWard3x Jeff, I remember seeing your RUF Porsche 911 on Motorworld way back in the day, loved that car!

JeffWard3x JEFF WARD
@ocscottie still have that car. 5,600 miles on it.

ocscottie Scottie Stewart
@JeffWard3x WOW! that is awesome you still have it I need to dig up the clip, still have every Motorworld episode recorded on VHS #goodtimes

Anyone remember that car? I got to see if he can post a pic, it was so badass way back in like '85 or '86, IIRC is was a red slant nose 911 done by RUF with some really trick wheels on it. Wardy is such a class act.

Why wouldn't a team announce all of its sponsors, unless it didn't have them sewn up? If I'm a rider, I want to know where my paycheck is coming from. I don't know shit about the MX industry but I know a little about life. Seems to me that a lot of the deals being made this year are based on faith and promises. Sucks for the riders because they don't necessarily have much choice. I hope it all works out for Chizz. He's a good dude.

Grant will be dangerous on a Kawi man ! that kid will be a threat for consistent top 5 this year. pumped for Chisholm too.

Yamaha made a big mistake letting chiz go somewhere else. He seemed to like the bike and was fast on it. Being that there are not a lot of other top 10 guys that feel the same they should of pushed one of their teams to have a spot for him. I think he will fly on the new Kawi and wish the team luck.

I'd be willing to bet that if they have inked a deal with the team they know where the paycheck is coming from.

Odds are, if it really came down to it, that Kranyak could just write a check out of his personal account.

The way Mark Kvamme cut Travis Preston a check?

edit: I'm not trashing Kvamme. I don't know the details. But shit happens. I'm a good guy but when my house went under and I got laid off, I did a short sale....which if you don't know means I never paid back all of the money I owed on the house. When your back is up against the wall, even nice guys can resort to desperate measures. That's why I don't buy into the whole..."I'm sure so and so will open up his wallet and make things right". Shit happens sometimes. That's all I'm saying.

I agree with this. Chiz seemed like one of the only guys that was comfortable on the Yamaha. He was also close to being the best-of-the-rest before he got hurt last year.

I think the Kawi will suit Chisholm well. It tends to be on the bigger side of the bikes and might fit good with Kyle's size. Let's also hope Wardy can somehow keep Grant away from the Alessi's and on 2 wheels! Smile

I remember an interview back then and he said he picked Red as the colour because beating those red bikes back then allowed him to afford it. or along those lines anyway.

He has a weird way of not paying riders what they owe them.

That team has a lot of potential if they can keep off the injury list. Good luck guys!!!
