The first fire engine red RC-125 (1974), sporting #522.

Having said that, Dropbear has made some mighty fine selections

One of the super trick Pendas (Penton chassis, Honda engine) that FMF built for Tim Lunde and Mark Tyler back in '74.

Those vintage bikes are sweet and all, but this bike could do it all for me. Offroad ride, race, or stripped down and moto in the vet class... YES!

1982 Phil Larson and Danny Chandler had production motors in works chassis (500 was still air-cooled that year, 125 & 250 were water-cooled).

Doug Henry's YZF 400, the 4 stroke that started the revoloution. Vegas SX, that bike and sound coming out of what is now known as "thunder alley"......................goose bumps!

I know it's not a motocross bike, and I've lusted over many a works motocrosser before, but back in the day this bike gave me wood like no other:

500cc's of square four, two-stroke madness.

Johnny Os 1981 RC250

or Marty Tripes 1979 RC250, the bike claimed by John Roeder

I believe both bikes are now owned by Scott Stieger of MX Works Bike

If strictly for collecting reasons I would park either one of these right in the middle of the living room, and crank it up once a month just to feel the rumble and breath in the castor oil. hehe
If for riding/racing just about any modern factory 4stroke and a good set of ear plugs.
