It's cool as hell, and anyone jacking on Stewart for this has a stick up his ass.

Something keeps jabbing me in my back side...... Smile

I must be mistaken, did he just sign a contract to ride motorcycles or drive cars for JGR?

I really don't give a crap what he does but I sure as heck don't want to hear some lame ass excuse about not having enough testing time on the bike when he gets beat by RD, RV and CR...... Focus on what your being paid to do and thats win a supercross championship, quit with all the stupid crap before you end up seriously hurt..
Damn, his boss must be really pissed at him for getting distracted with cars and not staying focused on why he was hired. Stewart will be...
Damn, his boss must be really pissed at him for getting distracted with cars and not staying focused on why he was hired. Stewart will be in deep shit when JGR finds out.

Oh . . . wait . . .

Oh fine, both of you just pile on.........lol

At his speed he need to be focused on racing, in fact I am surprised with some of the get offs he has had he hasn't been hurt worse. I'm glad he hasn't been but let me tell you he is young and will have plenty of time to race cars in the future.

I happen to think that the reason he hasn't won championships his last few outings has been do to his off track distractions. Forgive me for having my own opinion..... Smile

All things considered, the more time he spends with the Gibbs, whatever he's doing, the better for racing.Wink

How does anyone know that Stewart didn't train until noon, jump in his jet, fly to Boston, drive for a couple hours and then fly home?

Only time I've ever watched circle car racing is if RC or Pastrana we're in it. Has there ever been a black nascar racer? Just think how hated he will be when all the rednecks in nascar get jealous of him!

Sounds like both indoor and outdoor for James..................

With the self-imposed prime directive to bring home both Supercross and AMA Outdoor Championships in the same season, and subsequently beat Jeremy McGrath’s record 72 Supercross wins in the process, Stewart feels confident he has aligned himself with a team befitting of those aspirations.

“It’s a perfect fit,” said Stewart, who ranks third on the Supercross all-time win list with 42 victories. “I thought there’d be a good chance to take everything to the next level with their program and my program. When (team owner Joe Gibbs) told me, ‘We feel we can do just as much for you as you can for us,’ I was sold. That was the relationship I wanted: Someone who wanted me as bad as I wanted to be here.”

The all-inclusive JGR facilities are the major factors that influenced Stewart’s decision, after he toured the sophisticated facility, complete with grandiose test tracks and race shops housed at the Huntersville, North Carolina complex. With an arsenal of engines, machine parts and suspension technology at the team’s disposal, James recognized the value of the entire package.

I've been watching James since he was on 60s, like most people, and it seems in recent years he is just all over the place. I can't really blame him- since he's been on dirt bikes so long. He doesn't seem to take winning at SX so seriously as he once did. This is all from the sidelines, but I don't really care about NASCAR.
When they sign a big football player, do they say "Hey, he's also gonna be a baseball champ in a few years!"

So you admit you have no idea.

Do you have any idea what R.V, CR, or any of the other riders are doing?

Football, Basketball, and other players are seen trying out for soccer teams, etc. etc. AKA Ochochinco (Sp) and others all the time in the offseason.
MuchStinko is a very very bad example to use as that guy has almost zero focus on the sport he gets paid to excel at. Upon joining the Patriots he was amazed at the effort they put forth as a team. A few games into this season there was talk of him being cut from the team as he was not playing on a level anywhere near what they were looking for.

Yes we are slacking. I think it is because what is left to hate on? I'm quite pleased to see him testing in cars as that shows me the focus on 2012. I don't expect him to be outdoors this year, regardless of how much we hear that it is the "plan". The "plan" was to do the first 4 in 2011, but that was when he thought he would hand their asses to them. I can't see him doing 12 outdoor rounds if he doesn't completely dominate in SX and win the title. Therefore, I don't see him doing any outdoors. I'm happy to see him back on Yamahas, I'm happy to see him driving roundy-rounds, I'm happy to see him happy. That way no excuses when he gets derailed by the RV express.

Nope, things are good. I'm sure he'll do something to impact someone else during the 2012 SX series, but until then......... He is quite likeable when he is coming off a year where he got beat often, "straight-up" or otherwise. His goal coming into 2011 was to beat everyone badly, by wide margins. His goal this year is to catch MC's record. Stating that is actually quite funny. Funny is good. Stating that as your goal instead of winning the 2012 SX title does more to make me smile. That means given getting a win or settling for 2nd, he will be thinking wins over title. Pretty much business as usual.

I think what is giving this impresssion is that his first public appearance on a JGR machine was on four wheels instead of two. I don't blame people for thinking there is a shift in focus happening here.
We sure as hell didn't see a big track day with cameras rolling on the YZF like we did with Dungey and KTM.

wow, that's a really valid point.

if Stew actually DID change brands, i bet there would have been photographers tripping over each other to get the first shots. but since he's been on yamaha for 4 years already... WGAF right?

also, i can't believe nobody has photo shopped a set of po-po lights on the top of that cruiser

Sure hope RV doesn't go hunting or do any other "distracting" lack of focus BS off season like getting married or even thinking about a thing besides set up. He'll be screwed for sure if he isn't on a bike 12 hours a day seven days a week until A1.

all jokes aside, regarding the last 12 months, who do you think is more focused on racing and winning championships?

RV or JS?

and why?
