Direct TV did this same thing last year with verses network. Another case of the big Guy pushing the little one around.

Direct TV and Fox are both greedy fucks. It's nice to have MX and SX on TV but I will save money and live a happier life without them. If they cancel these shows, I'll see the footage over the air via NBC, CBS, You Tube or heaven forbid, live.

I am not sure why people are so upset about this. Speed is a horrible channel. The coverage is horrible and I am not talking about the announcers.
I wish it would go away and we start following europe and stream and archive the races.
That way you can watch it when you want. IMO the live stuff on TV is overrated. Apparently most people on here do not race themselves. Airing the races live is when I am at the track and most people don't have motorhomes and dishes. Most are like me out of the back of my truck with no access to watch.
Like it or not MC and SX only exists because of companies paying into the series to advertise. They advertise to sell product.
I buy those products not the people sitting home. What good does advertising say sprockets to a person thats not riding.
The live stuff does not reach the people that consume the products since those people are riding while the races are going on.
Get rid of the tv packages and stream it live online then archive the races. Actually do real interviews and inside stories like the major sports. The guys that run sites now are more than capable of doing this AND we won't have to watch the same 5 god damn commercials every 5 minutes.

Have a live chat going on so the very people on this site and more can talk about whats going on live.

TV as we know it is on it's way out. Why wait for it to crash and burn. Get a head start on the internet and be ready for the future. Charge people a package price for the year to pay for the stream and equipment. This way your also broadening your viewing demographic to around the whole world.

I said my piece.

I dumped all tv input 4 yrs. ago, havn't missed a thing! I do all my watching via internet now, no need to pay cable or satellite a dime! Laptop works, or hdmi it to the tv and there you go, mostly dvr type stuff, pause, watch later, skip ralph parts if you want. Gotta pay for some things like motogp sometimes though. Lots of little tv providers also provide website viewing, but most of it is real-time, so got to be there when it happens. E-one should dump there cable crap, then it will all be streamed, they get the advertising dollars just the same.

They play chicken every time the contract comes up. Ultimately, both are too big to walk away from the other, and someone would have to screw up badly for it to be terminal.

I hate being in the middle of their corporate chess game.

I wonder what they settled for.

We won unless we have to pay more in fees. I thought it would probably work out and was told that.

Sounds complicated...

You guys should move the the UK... live World GPs for free along with AMA mx and sx as well as Belgian Motocross and AMA superbikes... then British MX on sky sports if you pay for that... plus sky sports also does live NFL and premier league football live....( ch4 also has the late night Sunday night NFL game free to air) Moto GP free on BBC, and WSB and BSB on Eurosport. Smile
