How long do you think Dungey has been riding a KTM?

I had a lil party for the MEC and got in debate about this. A few of my friends think I'm nuts for thinking that RD has only been riding the ktm 2 or 3 weeks. My logic is that he was going for a championship plus the des nations. Why would he be trying to get used to a different bike when he had to race the zook for the championship?

I seriously doubt in the this world with lawyers having lawyers who have lawyers, that Dungey rode that bike before his Zuke contract was up. Too much to lose by being in breach of contract.

Well if you remember the Reed/Larry brooks incident it was for what your asking right now they are contractually obligated to not ride any other brand bike untill that contract expires if they are caught riding a different bike the sponsor has the right to not pay them the remainder of what is owed to them...

^^^^^ This. Of course he had to test it. You don't put a aside a team like Suzuki and what they had going on before riding the bike you "may" be riding later. He didn't start testing on it until about 1-1/2 weeks ago. As far as that goes.....you could tell by this past weekends race. He was off his game compared to what he was. The bike looked "new to him".....as in .....not comfortable yet.

Dungey's lawyers had his contract reviewed by their lawyers and they hired a lawyer who negotiated the no right of first refusal and the if no deal in place by a certain date that the lawyers won't even disclose to me......that he would be allowed to test ride any bike he wanted in a secure environment.

Only Chad reed and mathes knew he was going to ktm....and booby and sore balls and guyb.

And the alessis who told him to accept less money so he could have a teammate.......

Agree with Jay.

I don't know if Dungey flew home with the rest of the US team after the MXdN but I can imagine he stayed a few extra days in Europe and went to visit the KTM factory in Austria and rode a 450 there.

After MXON he went to Austria to visit the manufacturer and ride the bike, but even that was a day or two so it hasn't been all that long.
