Glad somebody caught the sarcasm. To each his own though. If you can put down about 3-4k so you aren't upside down when you sell it I can see doing it. It's like buying a new car, when you first have it the payments don't bother you because its still new. When that sucker has about 60k miles on it and you are still paying the same amount for a car your sick of the charm wears off real quick.

you dont need it, you're going to lose money on it. unless you're racing for a living, a used bike for $3000 will do exactly what a new 450 will do.

buy it in cash or dont buy it at all.

The other shitty part about buying a bike on time is that you have to have the b/s insurance that goes on top of it.

It's your money do whatever the hell you want with it. Don't let some asshole sitting behind their keyboard tell you how to spend your cash. I finance my bikes, I could pay cash but I can use my cash to make more than the 7% I pay on my bike. My personal favorite is when I find one for the 0/0/0 for 6 months then sell the damn thing when the first payments due.

No dealer will finance a luxury item like a bike to someone without pretty spotless credit. It's not exactly something you use to repair or establish credit. You can get a car with poor credit but at a terrible rate in excess of 15 to 20% interest.
This isn't exactly true. If you have a 550 or higher credit score I can get you done at a reasonable rate, bring it up to 600 and I'll get you 5% for 60 months. Less for less.

Suzuki has had the best interest rates, and there was a period of several months where Suzuki gave all 6 tiers the same 1.99apr for 60 months. That's a smokin deal.

I got an 18 yr old kid 0% for 5 years on a new GS500....So, you can still finance but I agree, paid for is my rule and bikes are more fun when they're paid for! jus sayin

Come on guys he's buying them on credit, you don't really have to pay those things back anymore in America. Right?
Nope, the Govt. will make the finance company renegotiate your loan to something you can afford, then if you can't pay it off, it's not your fault.

Wolfman is right, fuck the haters!

Use one for a practice bike!

Turn that KXF into a supermoto!

Why stop at 2, maybe you can get 3 or 4 bikes. Credit rulez! Haven't you always wanted to have 4 bikes?

Did you know you can get a new Chevy at 0%, you should definitely go and get at least 1 of them too.

You are pretty much always a dipshit, so eat a bag of dicks.

And you dont have a 682 credit score by not repaying your debts.

So Im taking out a loan against my 401k to get a crotch rocket. Which one?

Dont know if it works the same in the USA as the UK but what i did when buying a 40k car was get the worst interest rate i could from the dealers finance company but make sure its NOT top loaded, ( the dealer gets a percentage of the total interest over the term ) get him to knock that off the price of the car/bike. Then pay off the loan the same week in full and save yourself a few $

In my case dealer was going to knock 1k off the car for cash but 2.5k if i got the finance.

Dudes! I posted a Thd a few days ago showing a used Honda I was looking at. Well I ended up going to Honda of Tulsa Saturday and looking at new ktm's. After I got home I filled out a credit app online. So Sunday I find out the guy I sold my2006 450 Kawi was willing to sell it back. So I went to the credit union yesterday and got the money and went and bought the bike. Today I found out I also got approved for the ktm. I think I'm gonna buy it too!

When it rains it pours fellas.

Definitely get the highest priced crotch rocket that you can get approved on a loan for. Much like 450 MX bikes, they are a great investment and you really can't go wrong.

Hell, why not get 2 if you've got enough credit?

Damn, I financed my bike because I didn't have enough cash when I got it, made the payments for a year and then paid it off completely when I had saved up enough extra dough. It's not a bad option as long as you are sure you can cover yourself..

LOL - you need to change your screen name to Financial Wizard.

Who the F*** finances a new dirt bike from the mfg, a used dirt bike from the credit union, and then finances a crotch rocket with their 401k.

And regarding your 682 credit score...............The National Average is 692

You're kiddin right? I'm on hold right now w/ alaska credit union to see how much I owe on my 2007 crf 450 that I bought when i was 19 with 17% interest... Geeze I was dumb. O well Apparently I only owe $1,111.11. NEVER gonna do that again. I thought it would be easy since I used to see my dad buy me bikes left n right. Little did I know about the bonus' he was getting from work...

been doing that since I turned 18, im 26 now and have had over 30bikes. I like the fact that I can finance things and sell them, pay the loan off. Saves upfront cash fund.

It went right over your head genius. I'm not buying a crotch rocket.

National avg of 692? Get outta here!
Edit: I googled that shit, your right. The point wasnt that I have the world highest credit store. It was that you don't get credit without paying your debt off.

Bunch dumbshits trying to pile on!
