"The decision was made last night to not race Vegas. It sucks but to be honest I don't have a team for next year yet. A1 will be my 1st race"

Now he doesn't have a team???...I thought he was doing this "in the best interest of his team, etc..." ...
james did not utter one word in his press release/s. all canned and spammed.

you can't fucking tell? twatter is another thing....maybe

It’s really unfortunate to have to announce this news, but due to the logistics surrounding
our 2012 team building efforts, our rider, James Stewart, will not be able to compete in
the upcoming Monster Energy Cup.

This decision was obviously a hard one, but it was made after going over the various
factors associated with keeping our program as a top-level team in the AMA
Supercross/Motocross racing categories.

“I had a real tough decision to make,” said James. “I want to race as bad as anyone, but in
the best interests of my team and the 2012 season, I have to make decisions that not
everyone will like or understand. All I can do is stay true and be honest with you all and
ask for your patience and understanding. As soon as there is news about my 2012 plans,
you'll know!”

We all would have loved to be out there competing at this event; but the consistent focus
of our camp this off-season has been centered on the preparation for the 2012 racing
season. And so this choice had to be made. Apologies to all the fans and sponsors, but at
the same time, we have to thank you all for your continued enthusiasm and support.

"2012 team building efforts" = JSE (where his camp is going to end up at for 2012.... JGR or Suzuki maybe,or maybe doing his own thing on a RMZ...who knows).

"This decision was obviously a hard one, but it was made after going over the various

It's been rumored & confirmed he has been talking with JGR.
We all know they are not ready to go yet as far as 2012 goes....more then likely other sponsors coming on board the Team.
They also still need 1 more rider (if you take JS7 into consideration).

Also,we know that there has been some talk about him riding yellow....
Obviously if he was bringing any personal sponsorship to a yellow team in some sort of deal, that wouldn't be ready to go yet either...(could be for numerous reasons).

None of those teams are going to debut a rider like James with deals half way done at an event.
They try not to do things half ass and for good reasons...if they are still in any type of negotiations.

"We all would have loved to be out there competing at this event; but the consistent focus

Working more deals....to show up at A1 with a full complete package,no rushing.
Things are more thought-out ,nobody's feelings get hurt and things are set in stone by then.

IMO
NO EXCUSES COME A1! Smile
He will have had plenty of time to prepare and get things completed and be on the best program as possible he could put together. It's up to him to perform at 110% all season....regardless of what color or team/tent he is under.
Looking forward to seeing his results in 2012.

This PR release surprises me a little. I had thought he already said he was out of the MEC? Oh well , I just hope he gets his new team ( or whatever team he is on ) in order , and we see a happy and healthy James at A1.

Yeah,he said before it might not happen (racing the MEC).
He sorta hinted he didn't think he would have his deals done by then...
I think they just sent it out to confirm 100% he would not be racing it.

i just hope he races a full outdoor season- if he is there and healthy, canard, dungey, reed and RV- it would be epic! just hope they all get through supercross in one peice and james mans up and races the outdoors!
It would be cool to see him on suzuki aswel!
I'm not a big fan of the new generations yams at all (i think the 09 yams handled much better than the latest generation) seems alot of riders cant get on with the newer yams. Its a shame because i think as far as build quality goes the yams are pretty hard to beat! James on a yellow bike racing outdoors would be sweeeeeeet!

Oh well, it's just a one-off race. IMO, it's not that big of a deal. I was more wanting to see a Maico 700 out there, than I was JS racing.

It depends on the day. Some days it might be in the trailer. On others (like today), it could be split between a Starbucks or the Vital MX offices in Irvine. On others it could be at my girlfriend's house. It varies.
GuyB, you have a girlfriend?? I honestly thought you were gay, not that there's anything at all wrong with that. Or at the very least, asexual. I mean you don't even have a bumper sticker on your trailer that says, "If this trailer's rockin', don't cum knockin' " And I've never seen any hot and drunk pit tootsies stumble out of your trailer after they've been ridden hard and put away wet. I Guess I better have my "gay"dar re-calibrated or something . . .

Thanks, Scott. That means a lot coming from a guy who gained much of his notoriety by having riders wear a cape...

Ron Lechien was between contracts at the end of the season once, showed up on a bike he bought himself and won. I wish I had been around in those days.

Today, no one will dare step foot off their compound unless they are 100% prepared. Anything less and they will be barbequed by fans and media. Sure sucks the fun out of it all.
Did you see what Chad Reed did last year? He bought his own bike and basically raced himself into competitiveness all the while balancing and managing a younf family and his own team- These are good amazing times just stop and look-

RC took a new zook and raced at MGM finding several problems and lost due to a mechanical on tghe clutch- YHe was smart and used it as a gauge to build on for SX....it worked he won the sx championship that year-

I don't know about Stewart but I think Dungey should be out there if we learn anything from the past-

If Stewart has been riding SX he might have an advantage as I think most teams are using SX suspension...So even villo may not be set up and "Dialed"

for what it's worth

Here's the thing, if GuyB started an MX version of the Bangbus, his income would increase tenfold . . . It's called diversification and it's good business . . . and he would literally have his business IN the business, if you know what I mean . . .

I hope he quits and never races MX again. Why does it matter?, because he is tying up money that a lot of "privateers" need to make future plans. He is delaying every deal after his from happening, which is putting alot of "what ifs" in the minds of possible racers that may or may not race this year, so he is actually hurting the level of competition.

I have an ametuer friend waiting for a possible JGR AM ride that has to wait to see where JS7 goes.

I will purposely avoid any sponsor that gives JS7 money for being the faster couch sitter in the world. 40th place at the Pala National is faster than JS7 and anyone else who doesn't show up. Give the sponsor money to them.

IF your deals are not done, that means you have NONE, so grab a bike and ride, you have no sponsors to piss off, only your fans, which I am not.

I just can't wait for James to retire.

This whole riding and not riding circus of his is a joke. People used to race with broken bones and on "stock" motorcycles when they needed to. He's lost his heart for racing that's for sure.
