Proposed List Of Demands For Occupy Wall St Movement!
Posted Sept. 25, 2011, 3:46 p.m. EST (9 days ago) by LloydJHart (Vineyard Haven, MA)

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.

Demand four: Free college education.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.

Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the "Books." World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the "Books." And I don't mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.

Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

That's as crazy at Tea Party people demanding that we cut taxes and balance the budget. It's like telling your carpenter to keep cutting that board off because it's too short.

As with any group, somebody will come along and start guiding the mass to an agenda. Happened with the "teabagger" and it is going to happen with this group. The media is trying to sell add space, so they start churning out stories about how there is no real message then it spins on and pretty soon from there.

All this group really needs is a good community organizer to help it become successful. Barry will be needing a job in about a year and this sort of nutty bullshit right up his alley.............

so you have nutty folks on the left (occupy wall street) and you have nutty folks on the right (teabaggers) and you want to focus on only one group of nutty people?

Why is that? Shouldn't we bag up all the nuts and push them off center stage?

Well sort of. They would definitely say cut the board shorter but it's because they are making the house a lot smaller. Wink

To bring some rationality to this thread;

Both the Tea Party and the Wall Street protestors have an equal share of silly and unreasonable demands, silly costumes and weirdos of some sort. Both claim to not have any specific leaders, so you can't hold either group to any demands because they have deniability built in..."That's not our belief and those are not our demands because that is not our leader"

Now, that said, they each do have some valid points and concerns that should be considered and listened to.

Both sides are text book examples of extremism, one from the right and one from the left.

Do you want extremism and polarization or do you want moderation and people together for a common cause?

As shitty as the politicians are- most of the citizenry are even more delusional.

Mark me down as off the band wagon also.

Something is fishy here though. That's not what this started out to be and it sounds like some people might have been bought out.

Identify constitutionality of every new law
Reject emissions trading
Demand a balanced federal budget
Simplify the tax system
Audit federal government agencies for waste and constitutionality
Limit annual growth in federal spending
Repeal the healthcare legislation passed on March 23, 2010
Pass an 'All-of-the-Above' Energy Policy
Reduce Earmarks
Reduce Taxes

Where's silliness and unreasonable demands?

Indeed, you can't compare these two ideals (Tea Party/Wall Street protestors) on the same insane level.

Let's just go with the first one, show me one unconstitutional law. One law the SCOTUS has said is unconstitutional and is still law.

Is it a problem with past laws? What laws are unconstitutional?
Dodge all you want, but unless there are already unconstitutional laws, the first "demand" is silly

The SCOTUS renders laws unconstitutional from time to time. That's what they do. For some reason, and I think I know what it is, you think that it's silly for Congress, who all swear to uphold and defend the Constitution, to take it into consideration when making new laws. Silly? Really?

At some point you need to admit that your statement that the Tea Party demands are as silly as the protesters demands, was a little over the top.

That is the job of the SCOTUS, determining constitutionality, that is part of their purpose.
Show me a law still on the books determined unconstitutional

Post a reply to: Wall Street protestors "demands"
