I bet he is boycotting because the Feld press release could be interpreted to limit 2 stokes to 250cc max.

He clearly hasn't heard about the $50 for qualifying on big bore smoker

Where are all the people screaming he's an A-Hole for "lying" to his fans?

When did he lie to his fans? That guy is a hero for what he did over the last 12 months.

Can't blame a guy with plenty of money for not wanting to get on a track with a bunch of rookies who have their eyes set on a million bucks. Might get a little sketchy out there in the beginning.

I was fully expecting this PR, it was obvious from the many interviews Reed done, he was ready for a break and the Monster Cup wasn't that big a deal for him.

If anyone deserves a break it's this dude.. He is one of the oldies now anyway lol

Seriously though, Reeds had a fantastic year and I don't blame him at all for taking a break. Kudos to him for not letting the Dollars blind him and racing when he ain't feeling it.

just read the RacerX article about it and with RC and MC designing the track mellow and 250 friendly, it might offer anyone a chance for a good showing. Prater said "no sx whoops".

But if you're as fast as RV, (good luck) beating him on a 250f might get some front page.

After that get off in Millville and finishing out the season, Reed deserves some down time with the family.

I question what is behind this, as I think it has more to do with contracts and sponsorships, but it really doesn't matter. Back in June when he committed, money was a big issue. Now it appears either money isn't a concern, or certain sponsors (RockStar) are against it because it is Monster.

What I wonder is why this isn't a bigger news story? Broc Tickle riding it is a bigger headline than Reed dropping out?

Funny how guaranteed money is more important than the lure of a purse.

Yeah James is gonna race. Just like he raced the first 4 nats this year. Just like he will race the nationals out of his truck next year. Blah blah blah. The only reason he might race is because he has a chance of winning a mil. He clearly only races for money

After the MXdN he said he was done racing for the year. This is no surprise.

I`m so glad somebody actually knows what`s going on. Otherwise I thought he might have some contractual difficulties. Thank God it`s just greed.

I didn't realise Chad was ever going to race it, he said a while ago he wasn't doing it.... he has a right to go home in the off season and see his family after the year he has had.

Is roczen riding it? Surprised Dungey isn't riding !
