I was just wondering what you guys and gals may have done in the past or heard what was best for the efi?? If the book is the way to go then what additive? I cant wait to ride the thing and this is torture for sure!!!! lol!!! Hopefully yall can help me out so when i get to throw my leg over it and try to fire it up, it will be on the first kick!!!!! lol i know thats not gonna happen!!! thanks

efi makes them easy to start after sitting. Whenever we sell a used bike that has been sitting for a while, we're either kicking for 10 minutes or end up cleaning the carb. Any efi bikes, 3 kicks and she's good, like it was just running yesterday. But go ahead and pour a little stabilizer in there just in case and run it for a minute to get it in the lines.

I have been using Star Tron, its a great stablizer and cleaner. I like it better than stabil or sea foam. http://mystarbrite.com/startron/
your local bike shop should have it or can get it from Parts unlimited or Western Powersports, I dont think Tucker Rocky has it yet.

I run VP u4.4 and it's $72 for a 5 gallon pail.

I know im going against the grain here, but I would highy disagree with running any type of fuel stabilizer in your fuels. These are racing engines and needed to be treated like one. Stabil's main goal is to keep fuel from varnishing. Varnished fuel clogs everything up. Stabil and like products do not keep the gash "fresh" if you will. Over time, the fuel will begin to become stale. It might not varnish like untreated fuel, but i know i personally won't run fuel through a bike that has been sitting for 4 or 5 months through the winter.

We're only talking about 2 1/2 gallons of gas here with super easy access to the fuel line.Take a few minutes and pull the line off and actually drain all of the fuel out of the tank. While that's draining, drain your carb bowl as well. Be sure to tip the bike to the petcock side to get all the fuel to transfer over to the petcock. When finished, put the fuel line back on and start the bike to burn any excess fuel that is left in the carb and intake track. Like someone said, if the bike has never had fuel in it from the factory, your good to go. Make sure you have an exhaust plug. I also like to cover the air filter with a towel so dust doesn't accumulate on the air filter.

I'll 2nd motofab36's recommendation for Starbrite. It will stabilize the fuel and counteract ethanol. If you are running race gas you prob don't have to worry about the ethanol though. I use Starbrite in my bike every winter and have never had any problems with starting in the spring, and that is just with 93 octane pump gas.
