Even if the Fooper does start in time for the race, that's no guarantee that the racer is going to beat a guy on a bike half the size that's superior in every way other than the slant of favoritism and the faked up opinions of the "Whichever way the money blows" gaggle of worms who serve as the press core in our sport, who are really more like competing ad agencies which is why their noses turn brown when their lips pucker.
Just look at what Cedric Soubyras did to the VAST majority of Foopers last year at the Euro supercross events, he beat all the Foopers that woudn't start and he beat all the ones that did start, except for 2 of them. He beat so many 350 and450 Foopers on his 250 SX 2 strole that you practically needed a Fooper Scooper to get the track ready for the next race.
Oh and even though their engines are obviously slower, the Foopers are allowed to be much bigger so really it's a laugh when they get spanked like that... the only thing funnier is watching a notable percentage of them blow up on live TV during a race.
you assholes have VERY short f*cking memories. in 2005, in a gate full of 4 strokes, Chad Reed, Ricky Carmichael, and James Bubbles Stewart beat EVERYONES asses on 250 two strokes. Holeshots, race wins, fastest laps, championship. All 2 strokes.
period. end of story. That is not ancient history, those were the same 55-60hp 450s that are on the track now, and three men on three 250 two strokes shit on them.
Was curious as to what track though. Not many around here have been going due to weather (surprisingly at this time of year), Kiniry was at motomasters this week with Dougherty, & we don't have any big events for another week
So, guess who showed up for a local NJ Harescramble today?? That's right J-Law himself! This was the NEOC Series and the race was in Millville, NJ. Lined up on the AA line was #54 on well used RMZ...
He looked completely out of his element and people it seemed, were going out of there way to NOT say hi, he kinda just sat there on the line with a blank stare on his face.
The flag dropped and the line of regional AA guys (Shane Hufford, Ryan Rodgers, Rich Lafferty etc) left him in a cloud of dust as he could not get the bike started. Finally, he left the line after about 15 seconds and off he went. 9 miles and about 15 mins later, little J-Law was out in front by a considerable margin.
Lap two he came by flowing effortlessly and looking like a real pro. He waved off his pit crew and went around for another lap. On lap three just about to the pits, he ran out of gas. He pushed it into the pits and gassed up. As his pit crewed fueled him, his shoulders slumped down, he was obviously spent. With one arm around his pit man, Jason struggled to lift his leg, his body was pratically limp as was barely able to lift his leg to the kicker. One, two, three....about six or eight half-hearted attempts to kick the bike, he unbuckled his helmet and walked off the course.
His pit man pushed the bike over to the side and after three or four healthy kicks, the bike fired but J-Law had already dissapeared out of sight.
So, after one hour of a local south jersey harescaramble our former National Champ quit and went home.
Pit Row
If the dude had fun but wasn't able to finish the race then so be it, I think that's cool. I haven't finished races before when something broke and I didn't want to run my broken bike into the ground.
