Maybe he left him off because he hasn't raced MX in a couple years except for Unadilla? I don't know but he does mention Villopoto not having the raw speed of RC or Stewart his opinion.

Thats why he listed Ryan Villopoto as no1.

I'd say that list is pretty accurate. At the end of the day most of these guys are capable of beating each other during the course of a season, but the most experienced/race savvy guys are the ones who win championships. Smile

Stewart's an active rider, even if he hasn't ridden outdoors. Can anyone really say that all things being equal in terms of preparation that if Stewart lined up he wouldn't be in contention for top 15?

Out of speed right now currently, most of the lists above are dead on, but if this was in terms of sheer talent, Windham should defintily be on every list on the top IMO

I agree Stewart should be on any top 10 list of 450 riders. I guess I was just trying to understand where MXGeoff was coming from in not including him.

I would assume if you were to put the top 40 or so 450 guys (mx & sx) on 5 different tracks...a sand track,muddy track,hard packed track,loam track & SX track.....I think when it was said & done James & Canard would easily be top 10 guys,when you looked at the over all picture.

So should Roczen or Herlings be on the list? If they lined up in the 450 class with all things being equal in terms of peparation.......

The difference is that Stewart is an active 450 rider and has been since 05 (okay, a 250 smoker then). Regardless of whether he has ridden the outdoors the last couple years.

But to answer your question, Herlings should be if Barcia is. They've done about the same number of races out of the 250f class.

Has Roczen raced a handful of races out of the 250f's?

about the gps its a hard call, a guy like Barragan who havent won a race since like 09 is still a bad ass rider, but can sometimes be around 10-15 and sometimes podiums.
