When RV was battling back from a bad start they showed the front runners for the whole time until RV got to 4th , wanted to see RV do some passing in the second moto. But when the 3rd moto came, they showed nothing of the Americans in front and only the battles in the back. Just sayin.

Every country feels the same way. There were many top riders that NEVER were shown. Like how did that MX2 rider from Scotland finish overal?

What i want to know is how in that last moto did Dungey disappear from the live timing, no camera shots, and even the announcers thought he was out of the running! my heart almsot stopped beating!

They showed plenty of RV when he was staring to battle for the top3.
And when he checked out, the battles behind were determining a lot for the overall results. It was crazy at times, with so many guys fighting for positions. It would have been stupid to show a lonely RV up front. IMO this is a non issue

That too. I am not upset about it all, just seemed to show some favoritism then just do some plain strange stuff.

I think you are seeing a lack of US favoritism as favoritism toward others.

I think what they need is multiple camera angles so we can pause, go back and see action we missed. That would be a cool feature. They talked about doing it in Nascar but I guess it never worked out. Maybe they will start doing it and I am not talking about the split screen which usually makes it too small to see. I am talking about multi monitor stuff. Some day I hope.

Possibly but it felt like it was a little biased. I would have liked to seen what happened to dean wilson and did bagget and dean get together. There is only so much screen and time so somethings are going to be left out I suppose.

Typical GP stuff... they always show whatever is not interesting, flags, crowd banners etc...

I totally agree about BB and DW.

One minute both riders were near each other stuck in the pack, and the next they were both way down in the 30s. One cannot help but entertain the possibility that maybe those two (given their recent history) got together. If we can't see it then at least get the scoop on these things between the motos. Coverage was good overall though imo.

It's funny what we all notice..... I noticed that when Lupino broke Malin didn't point out that the bike has DNF'd in 50% of the races this year and most that it finished it finished with serious fuel injection/electrical issues...... just saying.

It was not broadcast over here. They're just catering to their audience

In Pala, Wilson checked out and they never showed him, they showed Bagget and Rattray?

Favoritism or trying to show some battles?

No broadcast is perfect, certainly not YS's.

No matter what they showed on the screen, Paul Malin definitely is biased in his remarks against the U.S. riders. His co-announcer had to bring him back to reality with some tongue in cheek comments several times. He's a GP guy so I guess you can't blame him.

I like Paul Malin as an announcer. There were a few times this year that he just kept referring to Osborne as "The American". He didn't do that for any other racer regardless of what country they were from.

Did you hear Malin say Dungey and Villo were the fastest 450 riders in the world? I did.

Can't show everything,so much going on! Searle had some awesome rides, passing some great riders,we never saw it and he's a Brit, certainly no bias towards GBI thought the coverage was good considering how frantic it was,I do think less riders in the races though, the lappers caused mayhem at times and even threw the timing out at one point when Dungey went missing for a while until the screens caught up,heart murmors for you guys indeed!

Commentry good too, certainly unbiased, how Malin remembers all that stuff about everyone and everything I'll never know and he was full of praise for team USA's guys and their win

I don't know who Lupino is, but I will take a wild, uneducated, highly speculative guess and venture to say that he races a Husky.

You got it. He is/was Michael's teammate on Husqvarna/Ricci Racing MX2

Yea, it's no secret those bikes have issues.

Actually the Zip-Ty team had a good showing at EnduroCross last night with multiple riders in the mix.

By the way, I'm impressed with Michael's blog- he's a good writer! The folks who bag on homeschooling are off-base.

I wonder what you will say in 12 months time about next years track? Face it, the prep of the AMA National tracks has ruined the average Americans perception of what a motocross track should look like. They exist in all types and form/shape up in all ways. From my angle that track looked how it looks after every GP there and I hear no complaints during the GP season. Only complaints AFTER the Americans show up.

Actually I don't know if that was Malin who said that or his more grounded counterpart, but what did you think he could say while Villopoto and Dungey were doing what they were doing? Whatever man, our boys did well no matter who was announcing.
