My local dealer has a new 2007 CR 125 in stock, $5500, over priced I know but still cool.

Probably, That is maybe why they still have it. Although in2007 our dollar was not as strong as it is today so that bike may have been much more then.

There were 06 and 07's on Ebay last year for $3199.00-$3399.00. Walk out the door with it and it's a six year old $2500.00 bike.

I don't think they're bashing you. They're just saying that as soon as you walk out of the dealership with it the price will drop a couple grand just because it's and '07. Nobody would buy it from you for $5500 if you priced it on the sidewalk of the dealership.

I understand and agree, too over priced, I get it . Again it is not my bike. I just thought it was an interesting topic. How about this crazy idea?? make an offer, they have had it since 07!

Back in 06 I got a brand new 2004 CR 125 leftover from Track and Trail Honda, it was the last '04 in stock. I got it for $3500 otd... this price is definitely steep, Id give em $3500 no more.

Well again I am in Canada where a new Ski Doo 600 RS is $13500 but the same sled in New York is $8500, meanwhile it was built in Canada and shipped to the US.

Cameron Cycle is the dealer by the way.

That is a $4k to a $4.5k bike. Brand new still in shop.

Great bike. Needs work to compete against the KTM 125 or YZ 125. The CR can handle. Max Power CR145.... look out. The tiddler is a beast.

Check your feelings and your skirt at the door, this isn't the place to get butt hurt.

A brand new CR125 would be an awesome bike to own if thats what you are into. I know a couple of die-hard Honda fans that would saw a few fingers off to have a new one right now.

My buddy owns a KTM/Kawasaki dealership and he sells every bike he brings in, as well as any he can get from other dealers.

it's the yen rate that is doing this. i live in japan. i moved here in sept 2008 just before the slide. it was 110yn to the dollar. today, it is 75 to the dollar. this is the REAL root reason why suzuki's 450 is a BNG bike, and the rest aren't even getting much of anything. suzuki didnt even send 2010 GSXRs to the states. no sales.

when your home currency destroys the currency in your target market (USA) you're not going to do sales. but, due mostly to ultranationalistic pride, japan refuses to flood their market with yen to weaken it. as long as the yen remains as strong as it is now, all our japanese toys will be through the roof expensive.

with the strong yen, and the weak euro in italy, this would be the ultimate opportunity for TM to get a foothold in the USA. sign a couple fast guy for an AMA team, establish a dealer network. the bikes would be a grand cheaper than the japanese, and theyre hand made in italy.

The TM part sounds great but as you know, here in the US some think that if you pay a cheaper price for something it's not as good. This is true for some things though.

Euro is the currency for Eurozone. Italia is one 17 neighboring countries in the Eurozone.

If the Euro fall even more against the Dollar, watch the KTM become even more affordable.

Yamaha's YZ line. People bitch about the price ong BNG two strokes. Yamaha has decreased supply to the US and demand has increased. Guess what.... higher prices.

Yamaha's offroad line with the highest profit margin is the two stroke.

Do feed me on the parts replacement bullshit for the YZF.... the aftermarket parts companies took a serious bite into Yamaha part's profit.
