It was stated on the Speed broadcast.... Poto won the most motos and led the most laps...He deserves the title! Dungey is also deserving, but he lost. They are both class act champions and it is a shame that there has to one winner and one loser, but that is racing.

What is the biggest shame is the RD fan boys who blame RD's loss in the SX on a derailed chain, and now his loss in the MX on running out of gas. I guess they all forget that Poto got taken out in SX by Boni, then he was pushed off the track in the LCQ, I believe this all happened at Jacksonville, and didn't score any points that night. Poto had several come from behind rides in MX, one in particular with a bent up bike. Dungey had chance after chance to finish off Poto, but just couldn't do it.

All of this boils down to the fact that each rider had to overcome problems, which were not of their making, and both rode like champions all year! Let's just all be thankful that we were allowed to witness one of the best SX and MX seasons in many years. We should all be excited for the next few years of these two riders battling for titles. We have some kick ass racing coming in the next few years. Let's not disparage it by making excuses for one rider or the other, let's enjoy it!!

whatever... I like my horse to win, always been that way, always will... I'm just that way, so are you... paint it how you want, but that's how it is... I can explain it untilI I'm blue in the face...None of you will agree, so whats the point?... I gotta wake up every morning and get it done, so do you... I'm disappointed that RD didn't win the 2011 SX/MX titles, in my eyes, he lost by default... I've been racing and following other's results since 1972, so, I've had many disappointments, NTM, I've been on the other side as well, and I just carry on either way...

There are no asterisks in sport. Far to many variables for that.

Therefore, please move on. Nothing to see here.

So by your logic, last year he won by default. So it all evens out Wink

Sorry, just couldn't resist.
And the "please" only proved to motivate me more.

Yes, Ryan Villopoto's championship is legit.
