Wildwood is the best beach in Jersey. It is far enough south that all the riff raff stays away.

I'd love to race it, on someone elses bike though! Wilwood is a nice beach, Ocean City is even nicer except it's a dry town...

Yeah, Wildwood is a pretty good beach to race on, but beach races are even more fun when there are pine trees, light poles, and impaling stakes on the course!

Ocean City is like a children's book...

the only way I would race on the beach is if someone gave me the bike to do it then after the race I gave it back.

Can you use a paddle tire or maybe one of those chain deals like the hilclimbers use?

Americas cleanest, safest beach. Have you been to any other beach besides Wildwood. NJ beaches are pretty bad. I lived about an hour from Wildwood and I would travel 10 hours to NC to go to the beach. If you want to score some drugs and prostitutes NJ beaches can't be beat.

What beaches did you go to? I am not a fan of wildwood, I pretty much only go there for the car show sometimes... But besides wildwood and Atlantic City I don't know what you are describing?

They did a similar thing back in 2000 here at VA Beach - Monsters on the beach.(Still do the Monster Trucks every year) Promoter had built some really cool jumps and then city said no way, someone could jump into the crowd; maybe if you could huck it 90 ft off a 4ft sand jump with about a 50 ft approach... They knocked them down to little more than bumps. No paddle tires were allowed. Gas on the whole time with a little clutch in the turns... It was total carnage and forget about your bike!!!

NJ has beaches? I thought they just had big piles of hypodermic needles buried in a thin layer of sand.

On a serious note, this sounds like a fun event. But America's cleanest, safest beaches? Grinning

I raced that. You fucking people in VA don't know the first thing about riding in sand.

Wildwood never sounded so good, Is that the same Wildwood I grew up going to? Since when did it become clean and safe? Why wasn't I told about these changes?

Ginolfi's been there. I heard Blessing will be there this year and possibly Kessler as well. Maybe Dengler will show up and we'll have a battle in the expert classes.

FIFIFO....how have you been?? The family?? We haven't heard from you in a while..

I was the one that promoted the beach race on Virginia beach the first two years it was held.

Yep, Barney Fife was worried "parts" were going to fly into the crowd that was 20 feet back and 15 feet up on a seawall.

The second year the city came up with so many charges I walked out of settlement with $1200. Not bad for 3 weeks work and a 350 drive...Haha

I also went up and ran the event in Wildwood for the NJHRA twice.

After that I promised myself I would be a better person so I wouldn't go to New Jersey when I die.

(not a reflection on the event because it is a cool venue for a beach race. More of a statement on dealing with the people that were over the NJHRA at the time and, um, culture shock for a southern boy)

Spoke to 461 today, he's going.
Scott, I've been working & playing with Mustangs(not the horse) a lot. Been a Long Island hero on the bike, riding every week but just keepin' it local. I went to Etown on that dealer ride day a few weeks back. I do plan on doing at least one race there this summer...hopefully more. The family is just awesome, thanks for asking. I'll catch up with you soon I'm sure.
Joel, are you banged up or just taking time off?
