The "CR125 Build" thread has left me craving some more project bikes. Let's get some before and after pictures with whatever you've done to the bike.

02 CR250 purchased from a 70 something year old man. Been sitting for years.

Torn down for a good acid washing. Alloy frames are an absolute pain to clean.

Bryar at 180 Decals did the one off graphics for me.

Somebody buy this , please. Not much of a 250 guy.

Chrome wheel cleaner from one of my suppliers diluted with water. You can use Eagle One alloy wheel cleaner from the auto parts store. Just don't get it on your zinc plated hardware, will discolor and dull it. Also will darken some cast aluminum parts so you'll still have some work to do after cleaning some of the stuff. That's why I took it all apart. Looks sweet all nice and new.

That is pretty nice bike you have there, you should check out Pro Class Cycles in Richmond they have a motorcycle junkyard that dates back to the late 60's. Last time I wandered through there I found an old Hodaka.

Newmann.....how much are you asking for the CR 250 anyways? And where do you live? ( state?) I want to pick up a sweet looking CR 250 sometime this winter or early spring if I can find one.

How did you get the white plastic tank to be white again (Yota)?

What can be done for old YZs with dark yellow tanks to bring the bright yellow color back? (Newmann?) My old bikes turned dark due to Klotz octane booster...

Newman....since you have probably shipped tons ( or a few bikes anyways ) what would be the freight cost on shipping a bike up to Portland OR? Do you just go through a bike shop? I'll tell ya what........I can't come up with any funds until I get caught up on my bills , and then i usually head into a slow season with my work ( Construction ).....but when the funds become available , I may be interested in getting that 250 from you. She looks brand new!
