Probably a repost, but, a really good, and candid interview. The part about Grandpa's car is pure comedy!

Great family. When Ryan was on 80's his Dad drove Matching RV's with grandpa and they were nice. Met the entire family years ago at HornRapids over in Richland. Grandpa had a flat tire on his mountain bike and i gave him my patch kit (Never got the kit back) but hey it's grandpa RV.

That weekend RV spanked Weimer. Weimer was on a tricked out cr125 and RV was on a kx80.

That was an awesome interview. I wish he would be a little more like that on the podium instead of running through the sponsors and what not. It's always great to see what these guys are like behind the scenes. You get to see what kind of person they really are, as opposed to the racer competitive side of them we always see. He's definitely a great guy.

I wouldnt say so, being from WA hes my favorite rider. Tho he did have a period (last year on 250's and 1st year or two on 450's) where there were somethings, that if you knew, you knew. He seemed a bit arrogant. but hes really comming around. I ve always been a huge fan and glad to see his fan base grow

A really interesting interview.
Some nice and interesting info in there.

And yes, if only these GP predictions where true. Would love to see him race a few races over here in Europe.
I would even let him stay at my house, lol ;-)

Interesting to hear his comments abouthow Alessi winning the races nine times out of ten when they were younger. How the tables have turned now that they are in the 450 class.

But 2 years ago no one could touch Alessi in the 450 class, now he's riding around in 6th place, 40 seconds behind Villapoto.

WTF happened there?

Cool interview, nice to see how down to earth and humble the current crop of top US riders are these days. The two Ryans and Canard and co. are certainly great role models for the new generation, and certainly don't want or act like rockstars which is refreshing. RV has come through a lot with his injury as well to get on top, big respect to him.

He seems like a pretty smart and really down to earth athlete. It takes a strong character to bounce back from such a severe injury and show up in mint condition. He's my favourite between the two Ryans by far.

I doubt he will ever come and race in the GP's though. If he is so eager to get back home to Washington to his family he would have a hard time getting comfortabe across the pond (nothing wrong with that).

I have huge respect for everyone that makes their living riding MX, it's harder than most sports and pays less.

If he said that he hated fourstrokes he would have gotten 10/10 from me for this interview.

I'm amazed looking at his leg that he came back at all let alone how crazy fast he is. Thats the heart of a true champion. I can't believe he isn't in pain all the time. Amazing.

Two reasons for Alessi
1. He left Suzuki
2. Way to many hard get offs.

Great interview - cool kid. I like how RV and gramps get along.
