I think Yamaha should be more embarrassed than McGrath. He got paid for doing that, Yamaha spent money.

Yamaha had a bunch of goofy ads. Remember all of Team Yamaha bald? Mid 90's. Funny stuff though. Had McGrath switched to the 4 stroke pig, maybe he would have retired sooner..... Back then even at the factory level those bikes were heavy. Jeremy was fairly set in his ways about bike setup as were others at the time. Making the switch back then would be like asking Dungey to race a 2 stroke for the second half of the outdoors today. Lots of guys put it off as long as they could.

I loved that ad Ed Scheidler and Don Dudek looked hysterical in that ad !!

MC was good with the goofy ads, he enjoyed anything out of the norm. Jeremy and I use to do chat rooms on AOL (in the 90's), Button & Deegan too, did anyone here ever sit in on one ? people thought we were faking it so after each time we did one, we'd have someone give us their # and Jeremy would call them and talk to them, in the beginning there was maybe 20 people in a room, after a few months we'd have 100's fighting to get in ha good times...You've got mail, Jer & Button would sing that around the house lol.

I think the fact that J-Mac's got a very silly sense of humor is lost on people. He can laff at himself in the most crazy situations.

I'm betting it's a very big part of how he's continued enjoying racing for sooooo many years.

Expect he regrets the Showtime VHS a lot more. . expect he is dreading the day that thing surfaces on Youtube.

Anyone know the vid Im talking about? From 93/94 . . it was so cheesy. Of course, I loved it when I was 13. But if I remember it being cheesy at that age, god knows how bad it really was.... The Jermemy Mcgrath RAP!!!!!!!!!!
