I agree JS is going to own everyone "if he stays healthy" which I hope he does, but P and Lenny quit the f-in nut hugging it's getting old. I know you guys feel the need to defend him but his riding and heart can do that just fine, he doesn't need you guys trying to hang on to the black thing and develop more hater's. Give it a brake, the guy will most likely rule this year. I was a big RC fan but lets face it the guy to beat is Stewart. Townley should have stayed another year in the lites it may have been his year (w/RV all whipped and all )

He's not gonna need to get faster. He has everyone covered and there is no Carmichael to try and catch...therefore, I don't think James will be beating James this year. IMO, he would ride way over his head in order to race with RC(as did RC sometimes)... and it bit him a few times. I personally think he may win every moto this year.

You also forgot that James pushed those guys without even being in close to the shape that he's in now, not even close. His problem was never skill, it was endurance (in the 450 class in MX). His bike was never where it should have been either, but that's another story.

I'd like to see Townley win some, too, but if he's going to do it, he'll have to pressure James speed-wise. If he can't challenge James, he'll win every moto. That's what happened in the 125 class every year from '02 - '04. When Stewart got to the 450 class, he was crashing because he refused to believe that he couldn't flat out beat RC on speed.

If Townley really hangs it out, he probably still can't beat James on speed, but he can force him into a mistake. But he has to push him to do it. If Townley could find the speed he had last year, he might get there, but James isn't scared of him if he's 3 seconds slower.

.Lenny, you are a funny guy, or maybe you actually believe the crap you talk.
JS will never be as good as RC outdoors, that's just the way it is, deal with it and move on.

Is anybody else a conspiracy theorist like myself and think that its feasible James did not undergo a complete knee surgery? Maybe he got it scoped, or fluid drained or it was just a media ploy, and hes been riding secretively the whole time, and he's just killin it like always?

Kinda hard to believe that with only 2 weeks on the bike hes got everyone but Alessi covered by 45+ seconds....

I can't believe that i just read 3 posts on this site without shaking my head. All accurate opinions, RC has retired let it go Stewart haters. Don't count on him riding "over his head" anytime soon either. He was riding so smooth yesterday, it wasn't even the same james. James is the BEST MXer out there period!

The craziest thing I saw yesterday was that James was not even sweating on the podium and Alessi looked like he had been in a sauna with all of his gear on for 35 minutes.

James is also as trim as I have ever seen him. I am really starting to think that the difference between JS and RC was not speed or skill, but rather Aldon Baker. Had JS had him and RC with some other trainer I think Stewart would have had RC covered in years past.

With the way all the seasons have gone since James's 24-0 season I wonder if it will ever happen again?? Maybe when he's back next year history will repeat itself. But I don't think it will ever happen again.
