What a technical abortion they put together for this. If it wasn't for David Bailey being on it.......I'd of shut it off 5 minutes into the first lites' moto.

They designed the whole thing to drive traffic to the crappy ass, super slow loading, coded by first graders motocross.com website, and they can't handle the traffic. Can't direct link to the stream and bypass all that fluff bullshit, and the stream itself is so unstable, it doesn't really matter. For Christ's sake........it's fucking 2008, and they still can't get this shit right?

What a piece of crap.

It would be nice if they would half-volume the bikes....it gets irritating listening to the exhaust of those porkers.

I'm not a computer guru, but it did seem easier and better to get the audio during supercross.

Not direct links.........they force you to use that shitty fucking launch page........which is probably most of the problem. Website can't handle all the redirect traffic........but they want to boost the number of hits.

Once enough people gave up.......the rest of us could get on.

Plus the stream hasn't been real stable either.........3 times it died.......forcing me to go all the way back to that crappy launch page.

there is usually a bypass link like the one bum put up. i thought the webcast is pretty good seeing as i cant find a livewire feed. must be an ama thing.

i remember a few years ago, they were patched directly into the announcers, we had to listen to erv braun announce for "the litte child looking for his lost parents" every 5 mins.

Yea, the launch page was funky and the link someoone put up did not work. The past shows patched into the announcers tower were so loud. This is a step up, but etting there was bumpy.

Now.........direct linking is working. For the first 20 minutes of the broadcast, it generated errors.

Still, no where near as clear and consistent as the SX season.

Mine worked great from the start, no glitches. Get rid of the dial-up, get cable. I've got the speakers tapped out and my neighbors are enjoying racing today (wether they like it or not) while I work around the house.

webcast worked fine, live timing was good, but as usual the amaproracing results are terrible, won't even load... and they suck at keeping the results updated.

It would have worked flawlessly on my Linux laptop but I went golfing instead.

Did anyone have problems with the pre show's ? Mine looks more like a slide show with audio.

That's what I use. The stream was for shit, not player related. I had like a 10% packet loss between me and the streaming server. I checked a few other sites on the net, no issues. I was able to stream all my radio stations, XM, etc with no problems, and no indication of packet loss. May have been something on Verizon's network between me and the location of the server.......but I can't bitch because I'm violating their TOS hanging a network off an aircard, or something at the provider's end.....I don't know. Regardless........that piece of shit motocross.com launch page did not help. That website was so friggin' bogged down, wasn't even funny.

No issues with the livewire timing and scoring.........it worked perfectly.

I also couldn't get the feed to run for the first 20-30 minutes. Kept getting the error messages. Direct links didn't work, nor did the stupid live.motocross page. Once people gave up, the server could handle the traffic, but there were still people in the chat that never got it to work, all day.

Someone needs to pull their head out and get some modern technology in place for this stuff.

the actual webcast... speaking side of things was good.

but yes, that live.motocross.com website is shocking, it was bad last year, and it's just as bad this year.... needs a complete overhaul. There is no coherent way 'through' the site, too many links, too many ads, just too much info on each page....

you can tell its geared for $$$... not consumers

I had the same problem, but all you need to do is right click on the blank screen, highlight "zoom" and choose "full screen". Works perfectly.
