We the fans are the beneficiary of the great competition between these guys. Makes being in the peanut gallery that much better.

Seemed like momentum just starting to go Dungeys way, but a 3 week break is like pushing the reset button.
100% correct. Reed gets to heal up, RV sorts it out, gets Dungey out of his head (if thats the case) and Dungey has nothing to gauge himself against. These 3 weeks could be the great equalizer. I'd still like to see Dungey take it.

Has the momentum shifted Dungey's way?

You would have to know the relationship between grandfather and grandson to really appreciate that banter in the
video. As for everything else I think that Ryan is just fine being the points leader when he doesn't feel like he has
reached his full potential so far this season. I wouldn't mind being one of world's fastest riders and feeling like you
aren't there yet. The goal is the Championship and being in first is the MOST desireable place to be.
I agree with your last statement and I also don't think RV let's pressure get to him. He stays within himself and lets it happen. As for his potential if he hasn't reached it what will he do when he does reach it?

When Dungey beat RV at Washougal, he was riding at about 85% of his potential too! Imagine that.

Unadilla is a track Dungey had Reed easily covered last year. RV should be able to run Dungey's pace but I see Dungey taking the 2nd moto. He just doesn't let up and only gets stronger in the later stages of a moto.

I hope he hasnt reached his potential. Dunge has been whupping him all season.Wink
where are you getting that idea? Looks like they've been quite evenly matched week in week out. RV beating Dungey a bit more earlier in the season, Dungey getting the upper hand the past few races. I see a 1 point difference in the points, doesn't look like a whooping in anyones direction, unless you use the gas excuse from Texas, which is as lame as all the Dungey asterisk talk from last season.

Dungey has been hauling!
Villapoto has been hauling!
Reed has been hauling!

They are all in shape, they have their days they are just a bit faster, they have their days they are just a bit slower and its going to go down to the last race - just enjoy it and stop making up crap like this.

So to transition a bit: I think nearly everyone thinks this series will come down to the last moto..so who do you (all vital members) think will be crowed champ and why?
