I appreciate the photography and all, but i didn't realize photographers were some sort of celebrities.

Perhaps it's because good photographers make good photos while exceptional photographers make art.

Not much really, but if being a good welder is your only claim to fame, you're in no position to be calling out photographers whose work may be recognized long after were all gone. I'll send you a PM of my minor accomplishments.

Joe Bonnello for President, he does mx/sx and weddings, he did an amazing job for my brother when he got married !! Joe is a cool cat for sure.

Great photographs shared here. I have never seen those before. The most important thing is all are the real because they are not artificial. I like all of them and thanks for sharing it here.

Big f'en deal. A guy on a bike. If it does not show perspective of WHAT the rider is doing it means nothing. Thats the difference between a picture and a memory.

Paul Buckley, Steve Bruhn, Karl Ockert are the only guys I know, so that's my podium - in no particular order.

Paul is a New England moto legend and as nice as they come. (Come on, what other photographer has a turn on a National track named after them?)

TFS was quirky, but in a fun way. We met right away when we were both getting started and covered lots of races together.

Karl was already well established, but was a great guy - fun to work with and took one of my favorite photos for one of my stories. Karl later introduced me to Hal Kennedy - another good guy and a good photographer.
I'll never forget those guys having to haul ass to the airport after the race to Fed Ex the FILM back to Costa Mesa, so we could meet the Monday morning CN deadline. (Damn, I just made myself feel old.)

Frank Hoppen used to always say hello to me and was friendly - and Carl Stone was always cool, so they make the list also.

There's editorial photography and artistic photography. Some guys lean towards one side or the other (sometimes by assignment) and some consistently try to combine the two. The real guys are all good.

Not only are these guys great, they are also very generous in offering to share their wealth of knowledge to rookie's such as myself. Hoppen has paid me to assist him on some of his photo shoots, when I probably would have paid him for allowing me to tag along and learn from him. When my camera body broke just before A1 last year. Simon was the first to offer me one of his extra bodies as a loaner that I ended up using for over a month! You probably get where I am going with all of this, and it is hard to narrow down the list. Every guy out there is unique which makes looking at photos from around the world great! I am sure my wife dreads the day she got me my first camera. Not it is always attached to my hip and I am always trying to think of ways to be better.

I think I read that somebody said we should post up some of our dirt bike pics too. Here are a few old shots I found laying around! I am off to the World Vets to see David Bailey receive his Lifetime Achievement award now. THANKS!

Chris you hit the nail on the head with how generous and encouraging the best established guys are. These guys will go out of their way to help folks with a good attitude. One of the wonderful things about getting out to shoot and I always wish I could do it more for that reason alone.
