Looks like the only real changes are in the swingarm and linkage.. I was hoping for EFI, figured the wr250 with the EFI was a test mule..

Who gives a shit? I get so sick of the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke bullshit.

And what really gets me is that 80% of the 4 stroke "haters" (and usually the most vocal) hardly EVER ride ANY motorcycle at all!

I hate 4 strokes due to the obscene noise they make. They're too loud.

Funny, the last time I was at staging there was a kx250 next to me. Every time he cracked the throttle I would blink that thing was so friggin loud it hurt. Most four strokes aren't to bad unless the owner never repacks the muffler.

+1.

Didnt we see these bikes in Transworld? I recognize the swing arm. Is EFI going to be a pain in the booty or a blessing? For the first time I have really no intention in replacing my bike which is an 04 because it works so well for me. Granted im fat, slow, old not pro. But it works.

The swingarm looks similar to the works ones that they've been running in Europe this season.

I found a local Yamaha shop selling the 2008s for 5,000.

With sales dropping this is a good year to buy a new bike.

EFI should be relatively pain free... shouldn't be many problems, but if something does go wrong, you can't do it yourself (unless it's something like a clogged injector/frayed wire, which you can do of course). But when it gets to internal problems, you have to take it to the dealership.

It's only May !! Bit early . Next year the 2010's will be available in the January sales !
or maybe they'll skip a year and go straight from '09 to '11 to get a jump on everyone else?? :-)

250 only, but off-road and motard version. It has EFI. they are pretty good when compared to XR250L. Grinning
