When Blake Baggett is on, he's just about unbeatable.

Tyla Rattray is in such phenomenal shape that in those 2nd motos he's hard to beat, especially when it's hot and rough.

Will Dean Wilson win an overall this season? If not, do you think he can hang on for the championship without any O/A wins? If so, has that ever happened? And if you think he will, which race will he do it at?

Yes he can win without winning an overall. Consistency wins, not overalls. Ask Stewart.

But the answer is yes he will. Even if he doesn't, as long as he keeps it top 3 and consistent, someone will have to go 1-1 for a few weeks in a row to even catch him. He's riding smart for sure.

i hope so. deano is a hell of an outdoorsman. i really think he will grab one before the end of the season..

but like you stated.. Styla is in great shape when it comes to the long hot second motos.. he's use to it. he's from S.Africa where its "Africa hot" as Emig keeps mentioning since Tyla said it at like the second race or something. haha

Great shape yes, but damn fast also! Look at his lap times and he is fast as hell not just "consistant" or in shape.. he's just plain good. But are the other guys in the top 3..

Speaking of Rattray, do you think he'll move up to the 450 outdoors next year? Or does he have another year in his contract? If he wants to race the best that's where he should be going soon because he doesn't have many racing years left.

I think Timmy Ferry won a championship without winning an overall. I think Deano will get an OA.

that could be the biggest question for next year as far as 250 riders go..should be interestingSmile I bet we see tons of speculation that's for sure.

I'd like to think he will, but it seems like when pure speed is what's needed, Baggett wins and when fitness is what's needed, Ratray wins.

Dean is stuck somewhere in the middle.

Great point

and Timmy Ferry won the 1997 East Coast SX Championship without winning a main event, but I was referring to outdoors.

Ramon won the 07 MX1 crown without an overall. I know it was more than 12 rounds that year too.

He will, just wait.

I will say though, that when Baggett finally gets his starts down, he will be tough to beat.

I just looked up the results you're right Ramon didn't win an overall. That's crazy, he wasn't even that consistent either that year.

Time Ferry #15 = no overalls and a championship.

Dean Wilson #15 = no overalls and . . . . ?

Might be fate.

Josh Coppins had a massive lead before breaking his shoulder, and tried to ride with it broken to secure the title,

Langston won the 125 MX title in '03 without winning an overall (i think he only won one moto, at the first round), and JMB won the '91 250 MX title without winning an overall.

And yes, I think Deano will get an overall. At the very least, he will win Pala
