Why must their view be anything? The implication seems to be that they are somehow bad/wrong for not saying anything. Reed's OK, let's move on.

Im not interested if they are bad or wrong! Im interested in what they seen and what they thought about it. It would have been a crazy thing to see from their view, Thats what Im getting at!!!!!

Yeah, really, they probably thought, "WHOA, Holy Crap! Well, looks like I got a moto win."

I doubt they'd admit it, but their thoughts would probably have been, "Sucks for you, dude."

Villo had a funny comment in his matthes podcast after the race.....something to the effect of "Chad passed me for a brief second untill he yard saled, which by the way was a good one"

I thought they would talk about it more to.

That crash was legendary and deserved to be talked about it.

Look at how the crowd reacted, I would think RV's would be the same, you can't see his facial expressions, because of his helmet, but regardless we're all human and would react, I'm sure he was like "OH SHIT" then a "man I hope he's OK" , then a sigh of relief, and a "I got this in the bag".

from RacerX Notebook : Millville

Ryan Villopoto got a first-hand look at Chad Reed’s wild second moto crash, and although he’s battling Reed for the title, he was definitely worried watching it happen. “It was definitely a bad one,” said Villopoto. “He got a little bit of headshake, and it seemed like his front tire kind of washed up the takeoff, and then it hooked up. It spit him off. I was able to just kind of watch, I kind of jumped past him, and I was looking over at his body flying through the air. I think he got pretty lucky that he got into some of that soft dirt on the side of the jump, because I know there’s a [water truck] road down there, and yeah that’s pretty hard. I’m glad he’s okay.”

i watched it live.

the only thing i can compare it too that ive seen in person, in my lifetime, was the jake brown incident at the xgames some years back. that was an extremely chilling moment. but a lot of the effect had to do with the fact that the staples center went DEAD quiet. i could hear the medics talking to him and i was all the way up in the monster suite. a stadium packed 12k+ and not a person in the arena said a word for several minutes....hell, none of us even moved.

reeds wreck was even scarier, but due to the fact that the other bikes were still making so much noise, it didnt have nearly the dramatic scary effect. what was dramatic was watching him get up and fire his bike up. the whole place erupted. it was a very surreal moment.

had bfast with him the next morning. he was sore as shit. but for all those who think that its gonna affect the rest of his season, i doubt it. i didnt pick that up at all. it seems to me that its his title. mentally, he served major notice to the other guys by getting back on that bike and riding as good as he did.

I'd be curious to know if they Ryan's approached the jump any differently or if his wreck made them timid for a couple of corners. It didn't look like they did anything different but you know approaching the jump, they were not taking the line that Reed did and the mental image of Reed flying the way he did played in their head a few times.

If he didn't get up, would they have started the race over?

If he didn't get up, would they have started the race over? I bet that racing would have continued if that happened.
