Just in 2011 we had Bubba's crash at Daytona leaving him way back in last place only to mount an amazing charge (still jumping the "wall) through the pack to salvage a ninth place, RV hit the deck just a few weeks ago and after being down for a while (way back in last place) he pushes his way up to ninth as well, and yesterday we saw Reed take a nasty header (saved by landing the downside) and toughing out a fourteenth place. All this and some of the tightest points, best races in years have combined to makt this a season that will be remembered as one of the best yeasr in the sport, ever.

They are like throw back riders from years past, i love it.


Gone are the primadonna rockstar riders we saw in the the early 2000's, the economy has weeded them out.

The irony is that alot of fans people here said that about Reed for years, and now many of them are saying how tough he is.

He used to be one. 3rd degree separated shoulder my ass... Used to not be able to stand the guy, but he's really turned that around.

in my opinion the only crash that compares to chads is mike alessi getting knocked out and landed on in red bud. both crashes sent chills straight through my body. which one do you think is worse??

Chad's was more spectacular, but of course the result was worse for Alessi. When I first saw this I was sure that Pichon was done too.

Alessi's was so SO sickening to watch. Literally screaming at the tv in horror as bikes ran over and over his body. That is the worst one for me. So glad your brother was alright Jeff

not all riders were primadonnas remember in 2001 james dobb riding namur with 2 broken collarbones and went on to win the 125 title that year

Reeds crash was spectacular. And RC has been calling Reed tough for years so no need to debate that but at the end of the day.....Reed was uninjured, luckily and able continue on.

So Tommy Hahns tipover and bars to the ribs turned out to be a worse crash.

Reed deserves The attention this crash will Give him..... But he was uninjured some can't just give him extra points for continuing on if you don't give Extra Points to all the others that have crashed.

For the last time. When are people going to realize that Chad and James both didnt ride the outdoors due to contractual agreements an financial backing? Sam Manuel never raced the outdoors. Them choosing to sign with the team is a whole new subject

Barcia won the 250 SX title with a broken wrist and raced yesterday with a broken nose. Not to mention he wads up each weekend and still gets up and races. Don't know if he makes this list, but still a tough kid.
