it's not bad in different colors. It's just the same color schemes they have rehashed for the 3rd straight year. But it sells I guess, So if it ain't broke don't fix it.

It's not so bad in other color schemes but still pretty busy looking.

I'm digging the 2012 stuff. There are a couple of color combos I'm not a fan of but overall I like it. I haven't tried on the 2012 stuff but in years past their stuff is some of the best fitting and most comfortable out there.

Best looking right now if they would do away with all the "22/two-two" logos. One Ind. is great really, with the race and carrera series, although they too have some "what were they thinking" patterns also....

I have a bunch of '06 Fly Kinetic gear that I love. The new designs suck.

somebody must have lost a bet and their punishment is to wear the purple junk, that stuff would offend a Power Ranger.

Anyone wanna play Q-Bert?

My wife look at the gear on the left
and she said it reminded her of the video game Q-bert.

What is the big deal? Every gear company has the outlandish over the top designs and also the more plain standard issue stuff. Fox, Thor, TLD, etc. all have stuff this ugly and more traditional styles as well. The gear companies are appealing to all segments of the market.

Last years Fly gear was pretty bad, grew on me a bit though. This stuff will never look good.

This thread is about not liking something based off color and design. Do you dislike that guy who washed his front end out in the first corner do to his color and design or something? Just trying to figure out how your post fits in here.

My thoughts too. I love the gear but I wouldn't wear it because of the 22 on the side. But, I guess 22 is a brand now and not just a number.

DUDE THAT IS SO TRUE!!!!!

1991 was full of innovative style! So was 1992, that was the time when Fox introduced the barbed wire gear and the skeleton kit... it was innovative back then, but now this kind of printed stuff is just getting bland and repetitive.

This isn't bad at all... I mean, I would consider this if other things like fit and comfort were good. This 2 at the top of this thread are absolutely hideous though!

Just got my 2012 Fly helmet (short), and kinetic boots. Waiting for my sweet jersey and pants. To each his own this stuff is cool.

The helmets are cool. The gear is a little much.

Thanks for that Andimers, It's clear now that the two kits originaly posted are the most questionable of the lot!

I quite like all of the top bank - apart from th purple/yellow.

I REALLY like the middle bank especially the blue - except the one at the right end - too many colours/busy.

Third bank - not for me. Personal thing really, I just dont like any clothing with diagonal patterns.

The problem with all of the 'busy' designs of today is that while that intricate detail may look OK at close range, from a distance, (and in race photos) all the fine detail and colours blur into an undecipherable mess.

They may as well have just tie-dyed it.

Squint your eyes looking at the photos and you get the idea.

I actually like the Harlequin design and colours, as a design, but it doesn't work for race kit.

I absolutely agree with what you're saying, about what designs looks like from a distance but I think thats why, for me, most of them DO work.
