I loved Journey. Saw them twice while I was in college (at the Checkerdome--back when they were a new band). We used to joke that Steve Perry's high voice actually came out of his armpit because he always held one hand behind his head exposing his armpit when he sang the high notes.

My two daughters are going also, "Hollywood Bowl"

Foreigner is performing as well.
My wife and I would be tagging along if Lou Gramm was serving up the vocals.

Last time I saw Foreigner was 1977, along with REO Speedwagon and Ted Nugent, at the big A! Fun times indeed.

I saw U2 a month ago and it was the best show I have ever seen. As far as Journey goes they will sound good but the chemistry won’t be right without Perry.

Were you already a big U2 fan? I've never been a big fan but will keep an open mind. I've never seen a concert in Busch Stadium before either so that will be a first. I saw Rush in concert recently and I believe that was the best show I have ever seen. I've always been a huge Rush fan though and have always wanted to see them.

I am a fan but the stage show is so over the top it won’t matter much if you are not that into the band. I have seen them before and it was nothing like this time. They understand the entertainment aspect of a giant concert better than anyone.

I believe there's an actual scientific formula in biology that quantitatively describes the increase in estrogen in a man's system for every minute he hears Steve Perry sing.

Saw U2. Took my son. Still think they're waaaaay over-rated. I don't get all the hype.

Really enjoyed the Santana exiles, pre Perry Journey, and the band was a good pop band when Perry came on and they got big.

Small bit of six separations moto trivia: Lincoln Brewster, who backed Perry on lead guitar after he went solo, leads worshsip at our church and loves moto like none other. Awesome guitar player, really terrific guy.

That's kind of amazing about Brewster.
By the way how many albums did Journey have before Perry? I have never heard any of that.

Three I believe, sort of rock with a jazz fusion blend; saw them many, many times in both forms of the band back in the 70's.
