Did anyone get Barcias lap times to see how they compared to his 250f.
yea, I thought to myself after watching him, wtf didn't you check his times, guess I was just enjoying watching that smoker scream around the track. I would guess they were prolly faster, but that only being because the track wasn't as rough.

What is wrong with you. If i was in your position i probably would of did the same thing. I would watch with awe and then regret not getting his lap times.

Dean did it on the parade lap.
I never saw any do it in the races. Other than Deano my son said Cunningham did it in practice. I cannot remember a year when so few did the leap.

I really want to see a video of him on this beast. If its anything like that video of him on the 125 then that would be awesome.

Isn't Barcia supposed to be suffering from Mono? Epstein Barr Virus or whatever you want to call it??Huh Dizzy
Whilst I appreciate his efforts on a 2 stroke, what the hell is he doing racing a non championship amateur event the day after a national?
Isn't rest supposed to be the best thing for Mono? or is the whole broken wrist in SX, Mono in outdoors stories just bullshiet to cover his inconsistent results?Shocked

Justin's wrist is healed. He still wears the wrist brace as he has gotten comfortable wearing it. I wouldn't be surprised to see him wear one on both wrists next year.

Regarding the mono, he is definitely feeling better than a couple of weeks ago. Should he be riding extra laps right now.....probably not. However, the team felt he could have a little fun after a horrible Saturday where he only completed a couple of laps. If it was up to Justin, he would have rode Rock's 2 stroke all day on Sunday (probably the day before as well).

It makes you wonder which riders would chose a 250 2-stroke over a 250F if the rules allowed equal displacement.

It was a double gate drop for 250A and , 29 in each drop and he waited til the 2nd drop was well through turn 1 and 2 and than took off. He was out there to have fun and put on a show and while doing that he was railing. I think he got up to 2nd in the second gate drop behind Jesse Wentland.

I was curious, but mostly joking. Even if he went at the gate drop, and won or lost, I would hardly give credit to the equipment he was on, considering it's an old bike and he trains 24/7 on his current CRF. You're exactly right, he was out for fun and to put on a show.

Wentland was flying out there. I was in staging by Barcia and his mechanic and it was pretty obvious he was out there having some fun. But while out there having some fun, on an old bike, he made most of the Pro Am riders look silly. My nephew was out there and got 7th in the 250 and 12th in the 450 and he was glad that he got passed by him while he was on the ground. Made for a better excuse.

Sounds like it wasn't any easier to clear Larocco's Leap on it than on the 250F's. Maybe equal displacement should be allowed.

It changes every year, but yes he did it on a 125 one year. He was also unable to do it on a 250 in 2005. Just depends on the corner, the take-off, and the landing.

...and yet guys won't ride the USGP because it's not a points paying AMA round. Whistling

This confuses the hell out that whole "They aren't going to ride in something they don't get paid for and risk injury to keep them out of their own series" argument.
