I had heard last year it is going to be Barber Motorsport Complex with a National, replacing Broom Tioga? But who knows, that was last year.....
Well isn't Barber just due east of B'ham? That fits the geographical location that was stated a month or so ago. Wasn't it DC that came on here and posted that rather large possible area?

Also I thought Freestone replace Broome like 3 years ago?

I believe that "clean palate" that Davey refers to might well be in Georgia, but not west of Atlanta. Previous GNCC affiliation might be a clue?

I believe they haven't built a track yet. but who's to say it can't happen between now and the end of the year, but it's a beautiful place and would be a prime location also.

Sondy, I agree about Barber; prolly the nicest motorsport facility I have ever seen.

Mr. Info (Mark from Glen Helen) just likes stirring the pot and hinting that either Pala won't be getting its permits (which it already has) or Hangtown won't get a longterm contract (which it already has) or Washougal is somehow on the chopping block (there is no chopping block).

Unless the West Coast track he's talking about is not coming back to another series? He would have to answer that, I know nothing.

Just kidding.

There you go all confirmed...rumors put to rest =) Can you add in Colorado too, we consider that west coast too Wink

I live on a 1000 acre farm that has been in my family for a few generations now, right off the I-20 30 min away from both Columbia SC and Augusta GA (both have airports) and i look at the rolling hills on the farm everyday and wish that i had a couple million to put a top notch facility here. Been to Budds and Steel City and our land could make a track just as good as both of them if not better. If i had a couple million to spend and DC came here and said they would hold a National here if I spent the money I would do it in a heartbeat.

BTW, Marc kicked ass at High Point. The track was awesome, even after the rain. Can't wait to see what he does with a clean palate somewhere down the road.

All three of those tracks are within about 100 miles of each other just off I-20 all east of B'ham. I sure as hell hope it's one of them! It would really make me rethink my annual trip to Red Bud.

Aonia? Didn't they host a GNCC (called the General or something like that)?

This damned thread died.
From what I hear, Sondy is close too with her statement that the track has not been built yet; at least not the national track. Mucho acres and I heard, some elevation at that locale.
I hear there might be another Ga. track that is in the running? GNC.....

Aonia pass is no where near a level of complex for a bike national. Only viewing from one side of the track and before the ama atv national is looked like a beat down local track. I would vote echoconee in macon way before aonia

Millville is the only race of the YEAR we get around here. And you complain about losing 1 or you're 8 races a year on the east or like 12 on the west?

Whatever happened to Bremen's new track? Is that the un-built track?

they would not use the existing track ,i was there new years weekend and got a tour of the whole property from one of the owners.its a big place and has a very good place to build a national track.i had been there several times and had no idea how much land is there.
