Pretty sure it was a 2 yr deal with the 2nd year being an option year but he broke it before the season ended, plus he broke his contract with Thor

gotcha, ok one more dude broke his contract so I know of 3, I'm talking factory riders here, but still not a lot of people break contracts, it's too small of an industry to do that and people remember.

Actually he bought his way out of the contract. At least that's what it said on his ESPN dealeo.

I guess that's the same as breaching it...and paying the underwritten fines.

Well I find a big difference in "getting out of a contract" over breaking a contract, I thought and I am no way knowing the details, he got sick, got out of his contract, I am sure there is a clause re: being sick or injured etc and then took the non-option of renewing for the 2nd year. To me "breaking a contract" is like Ron Lechien with Honda or Jeff Emig with Kawasaki....those contracts were broken, pack your bags you're going on a trip. But what do I know, I haven't seen these contracts nor do I really care, just trying to understand other peoples meanings Cool Laughing Woohoo Grinning Silly Pinch

Anyone who thinks contracts are meaningful is kidding themselves. If someone wants out of a contract they will get out of it. Contracts only work if both parties are happy.

Didn't Pourcel have a contract with Monster to be a personal sponsor? Now he's signed up with FMF?

Not saying it's going to happen, but if Regal wanted out of his JSE contract to go ride for someone else, I'm sure he would find a way out.
