I miss Art and David's 2 hours of coverage, Motoworld and Speedway on Friday night.

Shit changes and I'm realizing that's the way it is.

Folks I've been talking to for about 5 years are here. I'm fine.

When I turned 50, I woke up at mid-night screaming in a cod sweat. Now that I'm in my "late 50's" I think of that as the good old days. Welcome to the club.

I think, because of the massive and rapid influx of noobs, a list of rules, guidelines and survival notes should be made a sticky at the top and later made readily available in the HoF for future reference.

The noob issue is hurtin' the place, and while the hazing can be fun, it has to be done so much at this point.
sheesh, you're like a broken record

It's just the same to me. Same members basically and some new ones. I still click on my old motodrive bookmark link and I get right to the board. I don't really see how it's any different than what it was except missing a few features which Guyb already said he'll be updating in time and making improvements here and there but it's pretty much exactly the same.

My feeling is trying to make this motodrive is the incorrect action. Lets make it VitalMX.

Noob hazing had its place there. Here I feel it hasn't. The early days of this board was more riders, less fans. To me, Vital is set up as a community for enthusiast riders more then Professional MX/SX fans. I feel they have their place, like motodrive just not here. Noobs are needed to expand the community.

Guyb, you're a hard working den mother. Thanks for what you're doing.

That marcad comment really was good. I was thinking of the guy a few times over the past couple of weeks, for whatever reason. I joined Motodrive within a day or two after he passed away. I read a lot of the old threads and comments about him. Sounded like he was a good guy. Too bad he's gone. I feel for those of you who knew him.

I actually like the profile thing, it's cool clicking on someones profile and looking at the pictures they've posted. It proves the people you think have never touched a dirtbike probably haven't because they have no pics. Also, misslovell mxgirl and a few others make it worthwhile. Now if we could give them keys to the Champagne room.

Why didn't they just leave the Motodrive messageboard software in place and just change the name at the top to Vital? Too simple?

But yeah, this board software sucks, for all the previously mentioned reasons. Nothing wrong with making mistakes though, as long as they get corrected.

As GuyB has said MANY of times...he wanted to tie the message board/user names to other functions of VitalMX...like the community section, the photo/comments, the feedback of gear...and so on.

Try and keep up, and if this board software (that Aaron (i think) spent SO much time on) sucks so bad...the door is over there....

Nobody is saying it sucks so bad they want to leave. It's just this lack so many things that made Md so good. When I would come across other mx fans I would mention Motodrive. Vital? Well, not so much. Not really down with the whole Myspace thing, to me it's a popularity contest. So which of the females on here is going to be Tila Tequilla? My wife and daughter have a Myspace, I think the whole Myspace thing is geard twords girls, and guys who want a date.

Ok, and I'm just saying that tieing this board to anything other than itself was, well, a mistake.

But like I said, making mistakes is fine, just correct them.
