You have all seen it, in other sports you follow, a trade might be taking place, it was confirmed by the front office that....... then, it doesnt happen, but at the time, it was a big deal, then it didnt reach an agreeable to each side conclusion so its over.

Here is the crux....... JS not liking the bike and looking for a different bike IS NEWS in our sport. period! Dont even have the nerve to even remotely try to say its not news. Hes the highest profile rider in our sport, any move he makes bike/team/track and yes, personal, is news, like it or not, thats reality. Want to know just how small our sport is.... a major star in our sport can side step, bs, or flatout blackball a media person.... and thinks to his core it doesnt hurt himself, his image or his team. Well, go ask RC about that. He has flatout said one of his biggest regrets in this sport was not being better with the media. search racerx interviews about 2 years ago. You goto any other sport, there will be 50 media people there... ours, what, 12 for real paid media types? You see a player in the locker room and hes got 20 people there taking quotes, ours, 1 on 1, or maybe 2 or 3. In the press conference, how many are there that are actual paid media? a guy or two from a local paper, the magazine guys, so another 4 or 8, some online site guys, 5 or 6, some independent freelance guys... then ??? am I far off on this GuyB? Any other sport, there are WAY more paid media there.

So a reliable source confirms pit rumor. Steve, as a moto journalist, just like ANY sports media (and like him or not, hes media) gets reliable confirmation of a rumor and does what? He does what a journalist does, reports on it! Its news, its a story and he clearly says its speculation but it has teeth because a source that would know confirms it. What do reporters do, tell the fans the news or the story! (face palm)

Now, wether or not it happens, is immaterial. You have all seen it, in other sports you follow, a trade might be taking place, it was confirmed by the front office that....... then, it doesnt happen, but at the time, it was a big deal, then it didnt reach an agreeable to each side conclusion so its over.
